This one is not mine. Found it while searching for something else. Spring is here, you can never have to much ice cream. Exotic and flavorful. Try using other fruits such as mangos, strawberries, bananas or raspberries. Yum!
Of all the summertime flavors, I think that peach ice cream brings it all home for me. This delightful recipe comes from the Inn At Little Washington and Chef Patrick O'Connell. Special equipment: Ice Cream Machine(cook time is estimated freezing time)
If you are lucky enough to have a plum tree this ice cream is a delicious way to use them. Refrigeration and freezing time (8 hours) not included in prep/cooking time. Processing time is included in cooking time. Recipe source: Bon Appetit (July 1985)
The ingredients in this recipe sound different than the usual ice cream recipe but this ice cream is delicious and a bit-out-of-the-ordinary. This is also a great way to use up left over bread and give your family a healthy and delicious treat. Prep time does not include refrigeration time (2-4 hours) or freezing time (overnight). Cook time includes processing time. Recipe source: Bon Appetit (April 1984)
My Mother & Aunt spoke of having this ice cream often while growing up in Topeka. Since I wasn't sure of exactly what kind of brown bread to use I went searching. This is what they remember it being like than other recipes posted.
Note: Prep & cook times are estimated and does not include chill time.
From a May 2001 Cooking Light article on hiding soy in desserts. My whole family loved this creamy dessert with lots of crushed oreos, even my husband who hates tofu. They had no idea it contained soy and I'm sure not telling!
My sister in law shared this recipe with me a year or so before I married into their family. Since then, I've never been able to make ice cream for an event without everybody asking me for the recipe. It's great to add ingredients (fresh fruit, chocolate, nuts, etc) but still incredible just Plain Vanilla Ice Cream. With left over egg whites I always make recipe#111009.

I fell in love with the combos of coffee ice cream, Skor and toasted almonds on my first visit to Cold Stone Creamery. Seeing as the closest one to me is 8 hours away - I had to duplicate it on my own. It's been a big hit with everyone - coffee lover or not!
