Hot and Sour soup is one of my favorite foods. I grew up in the NYC metro area so it was always easy to get delicious soup anytime. Unfortunately I'm currently living in a part of the country where that is not the case! I'm taking it on myself to come up with recipes that are satisfying when I'm homesick. This is a combination of several recipes I tried, but mainly Tyler Florence's. The pork is easier to cut if you put it in the freezer for ten minutes first.

    Recipe #249460

I love eating at Calhoun's when I'm in Tennessee! I was thrilled to find this recipe on their website! The quote that was listed with the recipe was "White Chili is the Signature Soup at Calhounā€™s and has been on the menu for almost 20 years."

    Recipe #248111

I watched Paula make this on TV today- Boy does it look good. If lobster is not affordable, you might substitute with canned crab, extra shrimp or as a last resort imitation crab meat.

    Recipe #211252

This is by far my favorite ever recipe for clam chowder. I always replace my salad with a cup of this. I was shocked that nobody had posted it.

My wife and I went to the Grand Lido Braco resort in Jamaica and as soon as we arrived to the property, the first thing I wanted to do was to eat some Jamaican food. They brought out some Jamaican Pumpkin Soup and it was great. Then, it was onto the Jerk Chicken w/ Rice & Peas. But that's for another time...Here's the soup.

This winning recipe (combined with Recipe #193692) was Betty Fraser's entry for the Top Chef episode where the competitors had to present a "comfort food". The soup and sandwich combo will become a featured item on TGI Friday's menu. The judges raved about the and I know why. Delicious!

Just throw this all together, go to work, come home and dinner is served. We serve this soup with "recipe #210181"

    Recipe #191273

From www.TopSecretRecipes.com. I don't remember where I got this recipe, but I sure wish I did so that I could thank someone. We love this and it is so easy. WARNING: If you don't like spicy or hot foods, then this is not for you! You could try cutting down on some of the "hot" ingredients, but in my opinion, it would not be the same.

Can't wait to serve this at a fall party! From Bon Appetit.

    Recipe #177236

Made this for the celebration of The Year Of The Dog...Chinese New Year 2005! It was part of a wonderful meal...and I have to admit that I changed it up a bit to "dress it up".

    Recipe #153861

This dish was inspired by Vote_for_Pedro's White Bean & Spinach Soup. Like the original, this is quick, easy and full of flavor. It makes a nice dinner for 4 served with a good salad or it can be a starting course and serve more. Use 3 or 4 cups of broth according to how thick you like your soups or how much liquid your pasta absorbs.

    Recipe #150898

This is an easy soup with a slightly spicy base.

    Recipe #150846

The color and taste of this soup is great for autumn. But it's great anytime.

    Recipe #150743

Every time I see this on a menu, I have to order it. This is slightly sweet, slightly spicy and low fat to boot!

This is posted for the World Tour 2005 event. I'm learning about Australian cuisine, and believe this recipe represents a typical dish, using readily available ingredients. The source is the current Everyday Food magazine. It's slightly modified.

    Recipe #142325

Very refreshing and light. Great start to any meal! Melon, lime and mint- oooohhhhh so fresh and inviting! Posted for Zaar's World Tour 2005- the ingredients are popular in Australia, Asia, Mexico and the SW.

    Recipe #135141

This is a great hearty soup - one of my hubby's favorites! Like most hearty soups, great with crusty bread.

    Recipe #130772

Incredibly easy but lovely enough for company. The assortment of condiments allows guest to tailor the entry to taste.
