I love this recipe and could eat it at least once a week! I think it tastes very close to the brown sauce that is served in Chinese restaurants. I have made it with and without the veggies with great success.

    Recipe #58347

You asked for it. Here it is. Thanks so much to MaMa's Supper Club. Wish we could all go there.

Baked fish that tastes fried. Original recipe printed in Bon Appetit (August 1981) is a favorite Friday night supper for us.

    Recipe #55725

I'm not a "measurer", so I used to bring all my stuff to someone's house to make these by request to show them how to make them. I FINALLY wrote it down! DH said they are right on, but he liked a bit more salt. So that part is up to you. I liked them as is...here is my "infamous", lol, recipe. Glad I finally actually wrote it down, and happy to share with you all! ENJOY!!! Remember, they are really good hot, but....omg...they are sooooo addictive warm/room temp.!!!! They need NO dipping sauce whatsoever! Just plain ol' good!

These were born out of a search for a recipe to duplicate the beloved mushrooms from the Longhorn Steakhouse. They are inspired because this is a combination of aspects from NurseDi's recipe 28766 and TheDancingCook's recipe 36869 (thanks to both of you!), along with my own tweaking. In addition to loving the mushrooms prepared this way, I also love the wonderful cooking liquid that is left over -- I keep it in the fridge for use in other dishes (such as soups and pot roasts) once the mushrooms are gone. Recipe is easily multiplied for more servings, and leftovers reheat well.

    Recipe #124336

This is an adaptation of a recipe found on another cooking site. Great with rice, noodles, or mashed potatoes.

    Recipe #124337

This is one my families favorites. I have made it up early in the day, upto adding the roasted garlic and the cornstarch mixture. Then just reheat on the stovetop and continued with the recipe at supper time. Prep and cook times are estimates.

    Recipe #124733

No need to fry the meatballs before adding to the sauce.

    Recipe #32384

For those cold nights ahead this is one of my favorites...

    Recipe #4342

This is a fun on for the kids. They can help make it too. The flavors are good for kids too, simple.

    Recipe #12509

Amazing flavor, and so simple! No salt needed here. In fact, you may wish to use half the ranch dressing mix to cut back on the saltiness. Found this Crock-Pot pot roast recipe on of a website called www.recipegoldmine.com. It's all the rage there, so I thought I'd try it.

    Recipe #27208

I made this one day when I was in a very big hurry to get to work, but I also wanted a nice dinner to come home too. Since my Fiance works the same hours almost that I do...well, that wasn't happening. So, I decided to see how a whole frozen chicken would do in a crock pot, and it was great!

    Recipe #95032

I made this for my MIL when I forgot to turn on the oven for the turkey roast...It was great!! This was a quick save, and the idea came from a dish she had prepared from a 60's vintage book. The original was more involved, but this tasted just as good.

    Recipe #109402

I love the smell of this soup cooking. We grew up on this during cold Utah winters.

    Recipe #110740

This is a great marinade, very easy, and you probably already have everything you need...just need to get the meat

This is a true "Ulster" recipe. Very easy to make and so many different uses.

A dip recipe that I copied off the side of tortilla chips. Nice flavor and a bit different from other dips.

    Recipe #23365

I modified slightly the recipe from Bill Granger's Bills Food. I love the recipe as it is pretty simple to make and the actual hands-on preparation work is perhaps just 10 - 15 mins. I get raves where ever I serve the chicken. I hope you will like it. I sometimes serve it with Roasted Butternut Squash. My friend saw the legs tied with kitchen twine and screamed "Bondage Chicken!!". This is part of my low-carbo recipes file.

After watching Rachael Ray prepare her cold sesame noodles on TV, I tried it out myself and ended up tweaking it a bit before I was done. These noodles are usually half eaten before they get a chance to cool down!
