This cake has a rich cherry taste that makes it a hard to resist cake. Beautiful for Christmas time for a special buffet, you can add some nice holly sprigs to decorate it.

    Recipe #102543

This is not a gourmet cake, but it is a quick chocolate fix. This cake cooks in about 5-7 minutes in the microwave, yes the microwave believe it or not! Depending on your microwave as to how much pudding will be in it,it will be a cakey, brownie, pudding like dessert.I like to top it with Ice cream and fudge and whip cream for a quick Ice cream brownie treat or powdered sugar and chocolate sauce.

I wanted to post this so I don't ever lose it again. In college, my bestest friend, Alan, and I visited the Opryland Hotel with his parents at Christmas. In one of the gift shops in the hotel, they sell these, as well as at the little shop in Lynchburg. She served this cake and coffee after we got back to their place and opened presents. It was glorious (and not cheap by any means). So, I came home and started searching, playing, and experimenting. I found this through Google and it's exactly like what we had that night. If you're wondering what it's like..think chocolate-coffee-flavored cake on a bender. YUM!

Tasty way to satisfy those "sweet and salty" cravings. :) I found this recipe online while searching for a way to use up the rest of the Crispix cereal I had purchased for another recipe.

    Recipe #137823

No creaming or folding, this is a simple, quick and easy stand-by sponge. Choose your own filling, fruit, cream, lemon curd or jam. For a variation add some vanilla essence, lemon or orange zest to the ingredients. Requires 2 round 8 inch sandwich baking tins, greased and lined with baking paper. I sometimes need to cut a thin slice from the top of of one of the sponges to level them before I sandwich them together.

"Waves of chocolate melt in your mouth upon tasting these filled cookies." Whenever I make these cookies, people offer me money to make them their own personal stash! From "Something's Chocolate" by Patricia Tatro Opler.
