    My Unreviewed Recipes

I know many folks here look for unreviewed recipes to try, rather than already-reviewed, so I'm listing my unreviewed ones here. And THANKS IN ADVANCE for reviews; I appreciate them all!

This is an easy, healthy soup; use spinach if you don't like kale, but then you'll have to call it BBS soup!

    Recipe #18930

No, I haven't made this. It's from "Northern Cookbook", published in 1973 by Information Canada.

This is a pleasantly creamy dressing ideal on a lunch or dinner salad made with cooked chicken or turkey, along with salad greens and some orange slices. It might go nice with tuna, as well.

    Recipe #19771

Found this on the Net in response to a request. There was no yield, so I'm going to guess 24 bars. If you make these and that's wrong, pls let me know!

    Recipe #19954

Another recipe from my celebrity collection!

    Recipe #20119

Again, I'm using Recipezaar as a holding place for recipes I want to try. Why not share? This is a main course, although, for my friends, I would serve it as an appetizer -- I will categorize it as both.

This is a recipe I picked up at a food fair, from a booth promoting apples. Since quality Granny Smith apples are available year-round (here in North America, at least), this is a good apple cake to make any time of the year.

    Recipe #20202

Here's another celebrity recipe from my collection, to yours!

    Recipe #20321

This is superb over ice cream, but try it over pancakes for a tasty breakfast.

This is an excellent condiment to serve with pork or lamb.

I have not tried this; posted in response to a "3-ingredient" recipe request.

    Recipe #21103

I collect celebrity recipes, but this is one I had and didn't know it until today. This recipe from Hopalong Cassidy (actor William Boyd) was found in A Cowboy Christmas. He says, "This is a fine recipe that will be utterly ruined if you cook the chickens over too hot a flame."

This unusual salad has a real kick from the cayenne, but that can be toned down if you wish simply by using less. To take to a picnic or potluck, double the recipe.

    Recipe #21456

This is an authentic cowboy meal from the days of the settlers. Have I made it? Nope, and don't intend to! Found in the book, A Cowboy Christmas. The book says, "This traditional cowboy dish is not for the faint of heart."

    Recipe #21591

This is a wonderful sauce to serve over French Vanilla ice cream. Definitely for ginger lovers only, though; although if you leave out the ground and crystallized ginger, you do have a terrific butterscotch sauce.

    Recipe #22690

Want an easy dessert that seems like it's more trouble than it is? Try this.

    Recipe #22819

From a friend. It's good, but it's for garlic-lovers only!

    Recipe #23479

This is the companion ice ring for Sparkling Party Punch (non-alcoholic), posted here at Recipezaar. I have, on occasion, replaced one lemon with a small orange to give it a very colourful look. Prep time includes overnight freezing, although this will last in the freezer for a few days.

    Recipe #24758

Rhubarb and ginger is one of my favourite flavour combinations. I haven't tried this, but I bet it's great! Taken from "Rhubarb: more than just pies". Prep time includes initial standing time; cook time includes processing time.

    Recipe #28114

This recipe is a longstanding Canadian late-summer tradition; I have seen similar recipes in very old cookbooks. My mother-in-law taught me to make this back in the summer of 1983, right after my son was born. This is definitely a two-person job; it's a lot of work -- but the resulting relish is well worth the effort. She never processes it, but you certainly can if you want -- or just store the jars in the fridge. They won't last long; you'll be eating this with everything! :-)
