I can't always find date filling at the market. So I am posting this in case I ever need a recipe for it. Recipe from food down under. Filling should be refrigerated, and you may freeze it as well.

    Recipe #323144

A little bit of cooking creates a great, stable frosting.

    Recipe #513110

My mother got this recipe from her sister Viv, don't know where she got it, but I love it. It is not too sweet, is soooo creamy smooth. I always loved it when mom made it on a cake for strawberries. I still use it, and love it on a Butter Pecan Cake, I am often asked to bring that for a desert. This frosting would go great on any flavor. For those of us who don't always want a sugary frosting, you can't get better than this.

    Recipe #155619

A delicious spin on classic whole-berry cranberry sauce.

I got the idea for this frosting many years ago, when I read that, on her 100th birthday, the Queen Mum's cake had a gin frosting. I don't think I'd reached the legal drinking age yet, but I already knew that sounded delicious! This is NOT a recipe for a child's birthday cake! It's for a very grown-up birthday cake to get your grown-up friends tipsy on cake. Not for those under the legal drinking age in your jurisdiction. I finally found the perfect frosting to absorb the gin without becoming runny - Swiss meringue. Although it sounds complicated, it's actually a very forgiving recipe. In fact, one of the best things you can do is ignore it for several minutes at a time. You just need a stand mixer and a candy or meat thermometer that can read 160 degrees Fahrenheit. This makes enough to frost a 9-inch, 2-layer cake. If you don't want to use raw eggs, or have no use for a lot of yolks, pasteurized egg whites from a carton work equally well.

My friends could eat this stuff by the gallon, I swear. Easy and quick to make, and it's great with chocolate or Moose Tracks ice cream. From the Eagle Brand condensed milk website. Preparation time includes cooking time.

Oh my goodness, Emeril has done it again! Try this delicious sauce on ice cream, in milk or whip up a great milkshake with some vanilla ice cream! This syrup is dairy-free so you can use soy milk, etc. when making things with it.

This is a passionfruit syrup that's needed in Recipe #49638

My sister in law made this for me a few years ago, and it is now my favorite pancake and waffle topping.

With only very few ingredients and five minutes to make it just couldn't get any easier and it tastes so good! ---it goes great with bread pudding, over ice cream and with desserts :)

    Recipe #78088

The "magic" is coconut oil. Virgin coconut oil will make this taste like a Bounty Bar, yum! Or use refined coconut oil, which has less flavor. Recipe is easily doubled.

I found this ice cream sauce in a magazine years ago. Our daughter Allison used to make it for Christmas gifts for her grandparents. It is fantastic and easy with the microwave.
