    Diabetic, Low-Fat

    Recipe #4661

Traditional Australian snack for when unexpected guests drop by. To be truly authentic the cheese must be the very cheapest brand available and the crackers a little stale. Use a good and strong fresh onion though so your guests don't know the difference.

    Recipe #203702

This is a list of things you make that can be renamed and re-presented with a Halloween Flair! The water in ingredients is just there so I could enter this.

    Recipe #453136

This is a recipe that my mother makes as a quick appetizer for special occasions. It may seem like an odd combination of flavors at first, but trust me, these can be addictive!

    Recipe #46879

I used to eat this when I was in girl scout camp. the kids loved them and so do I. I'm using estimated amounts so you can put as much or as little as you want in them.

Cucumber sandwiches are made with fresh springy white or brown bread, lightly buttered, and with the crusts cut off – the perfect cool summer snack to go with your afternoon tea. This recipe idea came from a friend who was lucky enough to attend a Garden Party at Buckingham Palace - she swears this is how they made them! Cucumber sandwiches achieved literary notoriety in Oscar Wilde’s play The Importance of Being Earnest (1895) when Algernon devours an entire plate full in the first act and there are none left for his aunt, Lady Bracknell. They are presented by Jack as being a delicacy: “Hallo! Why all these cups? Why cucumber sandwiches? Why such reckless extravagance in one so young? Who is coming to tea?”

Who doesn't love a caramel apple? These are great and make wonderful appetizers, snacks or dessert nibbles.

    Recipe #499774

A grown-up version of cream-cheese-stuffed celery sticks. Especially good with a nice cup of coffee or hot tea.

    Recipe #118075

There is a very nice flavor and will vary depending on the chutney you use. I have mango trees, so have copious quantities of various mango chutneys. It is great as a tea sandwich!

Mid July and pestomania is in the air. I've been working on a variety of pestos night and day for the last week. Today's version is Kale Almond Pesto. http://www.elanaspantry.com/kale-almond-pesto/

With only 3 ingredients this is just about the simplest and most refreshing appetizer you can serve. One tbsp of nutmeg sounds like a lot but don't be afraid to try it. The flavour works very well with the pineapple. This recipe comes from More Fun and Flavour with Spices

    Recipe #455944

I love the ingredients and it makes a great tapenade. Surprisingly, when done it is reminiscent of olives!!! Very good.

    Recipe #453144

Found this on the Food Network site. This one is a real crowd pleaser. I served it at a party and just didn't have enough. It's delicious, light, and smooth!

    Recipe #222486

These are simple and can be infinite in variety.

My friend Val shared this recipe with me last year. It is a new favorite, and one that I plan on taking many places over the holiday season, as it is different. Best served with Wheat Thins, this salsa is yummy and a must try! The original recipe called for a 1 pound package of cranberries; I've found that fresh cranberries are now packaged in 12 oz. portions, and this size works. Don't forget to allow time for chilling, to allow flavors to develop...This will make enough for 2 blocks of cream cheese, so you have 1 to serve, and 1 to share!

    Recipe #398844

During Victorian times, children used to take watercress sandwiches to school in place of meat ones. I love them, especially when cut into small trianges and served with a cuppa (cup of tea!). Use the freshest bread - I like to use wholemeal, and a fresh salted farmhouse butter. I have included a soup idea at the end of the recipe, to be made with the excess stalks! So a soup and sandwich recipe then!

These are delicious. We had them at a posh affair. I asked how they were made. Found they couldn't be more simple. Make as many or as few as you like.

    Recipe #80489

Very easy and scrumptious! You may want to cut in half corner ways to make 20 appetizers.
