Hey you Paula Deen fans, she has a new magazine, "Cooking with Paula Deen"--this recipe is from the premier issue. It was so yummy looking, I couldn't wait to try it. I added another 15 minutes to the cooking time suggested (30-35 minutes) and It was just right, but oven temperatures vary, so check on it during the last few minutes of cooking time. I'm also going to add a few dashes of cayenne pepper next time for something hot and sweet!

Very attractive looking appy! and good too. Had some ladies over for a "crafty evening", making little Christmas thingies, the spirals went over big, and the ladies took the recipe, from "Women's world".

A really great tapa that will get you many compliments. Really simple to make. The original recipe was by Roxanne. I have served this at many of my "Wine and Tapa" parties and was always pleased by the response.

These pigs in a blanket are SO easy and because they're bite-sized, people eat them up quickly!

    Recipe #79715

This is a MUST at every holiday in our family. I suggest doubling the recipe...it always goes fast!

    Recipe #146022

Creamy cucumber filling for sandwiches that is wonderful. The dill and garlic give it pizazz. This can also be used for an appetizer if used on the party rye bread.

These are like taking a little bite of summer. The flavors blend so well and taste great. They never stand a chance at picnics or potlucks. They always are gone before the meal begins. Quantities and ingredients may be adapted to suit your personal tastes.

My friend, Lan, who is Vietnamese, showed me how to make these delicious and healthy spring rolls. These are served cold and are NOT fried. They do require some skill to roll - unless you've made these before, you may want to have extra rice papers on hand in case you tear some! It is crucial to use only fresh herbs etc. in this dish, however you can use any cooked meat or fish combo that you prefer. Vegetarians may omit meat altogether. The prep time given is how long it should take - but first timers may find it takes longer to roll.

From www.TopSecretRecipes.com. This is a copycat recipe I found on the web, and it is EXCELLENT!!!

    Recipe #60891

This version of my favorite Chinese appetizer is baked instead of fried, making them lower in fat. They are absolutely delicious! I don't really like crab, but I devour these.

Who said they didn't like sauerkraut? C'mere! I got something for ya'! (I'll make you a believer yet!) The dipping sauce I used in the pic is honey mustard, but you could use whatever you like.

    Recipe #35385

Simply made hors d'oeuvres that are crisp and chewy, savory and sweet.

I recently visited my brother and sister-in-law. She is a fabulous cook who learned from her mother growing up in Mexico City. She doesn't cook from recipes, but from memory and experience of how she was taught. We had a fabulous meal of beef tacos with this guacamole. I watched so I could make it at home. It's different than most because of the tomatillos, and it's wonderful with the beef. I posted the beef taco recipe separately.

From www.TopSecretRecipes.com I am so glad everyone loves these as much as I do! I have made a few changes to clarify how to prepare them to look like the cheesecake factory, but as everyone has found out, being pretty doesn't effect the taste! Thank you again everyone!! I know this seems like a really hard recipe but it really isnt, alot of the ingriedients are used more than once. I usually make it by hand without a blender, and I consider it a just cause, a blender would make it even more of a snap! This is a copycat of The Cheesecake factory appetizer which is heavenly! I garauntee that you will enjoy it. I found it online and in a weird place so I figure putting it here is only the right thing to do. Please try it :) I put 4 servings, its enough calories to feed 8 but really only enough to share greedily with 2. LOL

This beautiful appetizer consists of an Italian chopped salad that is mounded into cooked pasta shells. It can be made up to four hours ahead and the romaine salad will remain crispy for serving. Note: To give proper credit, this is an adaptation of recipe #29329, which uses chicken as a main ingredient. In the version I am posting, the chicken is eliminated and the chopped salad is garnished with salami and feta cheese. I also make my own vinaigrette, but if you prefer, just use a bottled Italian dressing.

Cucumber sandwiches are made with fresh springy white or brown bread, lightly buttered, and with the crusts cut off – the perfect cool summer snack to go with your afternoon tea. This recipe idea came from a friend who was lucky enough to attend a Garden Party at Buckingham Palace - she swears this is how they made them! Cucumber sandwiches achieved literary notoriety in Oscar Wilde’s play The Importance of Being Earnest (1895) when Algernon devours an entire plate full in the first act and there are none left for his aunt, Lady Bracknell. They are presented by Jack as being a delicacy: “Hallo! Why all these cups? Why cucumber sandwiches? Why such reckless extravagance in one so young? Who is coming to tea?”

    Recipe #230631

A tasty finger food appetizer recipe. Great for holiday parties, and different than a traditional "spinach dip" or tradition "sausage ball" recipe.

My sister-in-law brought this to our beach house this summer, where we had a tapenade taste-off. This was the winner. I had this on seafood, with chips, with veggies, on bruschetta, and even used it as a sandwich spread!
