This is an Italian Christmas Tradition. This is my moms family recipe and is tried and true. It is quite festive and makes a nice holiday gift too.

    Recipe #44525

This recipe was posted by grinkc at recipegoldmine.com, "Although not a true spumoni ice cream this dessert is so easy, delicious and pretty. Freeze solid for an ice cream texture or partially frozen for a mousse like texture. I like to make this for my family on a festive occasions." This recipe will be included in the Zaar World Tour 2005 Swap.

I savored this incredible dish at a great restaurant located in Washington County, Pennsylvania in 2001 and swore that I'd clone it ASAP. I did that fairly quickly after my tour of The Keystone State and, while the great mesh of flavors was still clear in my mind. I'm pretty happy with the result. Really, I like it hotter than this (I add more hot sauce at the table) but this level of heat seems to make most folks happy. Cooking time does not take into account the time it takes to cook the pasta. Enjoy!

DH was in a rush to head out & I had these lovely jumbo fresh NC shrimp I wanted to cook up. Got this on the table in 25 minutes. Shell the shrimp & prep the vegies while the water boils for pasta & the meal is just about done! Serve with crusty warm bread & green salad with balsamic vinagrette. Mmmm! ps - Buster approves!

So easy and simply delicious. Recipe from Giada De Laurentiis host from Everyday Italian.

In this flavorful dish, you can adjust the amounts to suit your personal tastes...I happen to like garlic and Parmesan cheese. If you have any leftovers, you can add a little more milk and heat briefly in the microwave oven.

    Recipe #26671

A quick and easy version of a robust Italian winter dish. It's versatile - use these "dumplings" as a pasta or a foundation for the entree (maybe my Smothered Mushroom Chicken? #113125). This recipe doubles or triples and works well with a simple tomato sauce, butter and sage, or with butter or good olive oil add a grind of black pepper and some Parmesan cheese. For my Smothered Mushroom Chicken recipe, this should be tripled.

I got this recipe off of another site but modified it quite a bit to suit our tastes. It is very easy and will certainly impress company or make a nice dish for a romantic meal! The key is to use fresh herb in this dish. Serve with a good crusty bread, green salad and a nice white wine.

    Recipe #84253

This recipe came from Giada de Laurentis on the Food Network. I saw her make this and I was amazed at how simple it was! It's like being a gourmet cook yet fooling everyone--!!! Tastes so light and fresh, but yet so satisfying for those pasta cravings we sometimes get! Very Italian...Yum!

Simple and elegant, a great way to use zucchini!

Lemon lovers, come on in! This is a fantastic, easy lemon chicken from Scoozi Restaurant in Chicago. Garlic, shallots and white wine accent this chicken; nice because there's not a lot to detract from the pure lemony taste. I find that there's not a ton of the sauce; if you wish to have extra to drizzle on veggies or whatever, I'd probably double the sauce ingredients. It's good with pasta or roasted potatoes and a nice green veggie.

    Recipe #112206

A humble, simple dish with wonderful flavors. Serve with green or spinach salad and the ever present garlic bread, ahhhh!

    Recipe #27876

When I saw Kathleen Daelemans making these on her FoodTV "Cooking Thin" show, I was pretty excited! As anyone who has eaten a lower carb menu knows, we do miss our bread and pasta dishes. But here's a gnocchi that's much lower in carbs, lower in fat, but not low in taste! Prep time includes chilling.

    Recipe #115140

I received this recipe from a friend who says it is from a famous Italian restaurant on "The Hill" in St. Louis. It is definitely a good one.

    Recipe #80704

My mom used to make this for us kids when we were little. We ate it with fried eggs instead of toast or bread. Sometimes we had it with syrup on it like pancakes. I still make and love this. I had this with eggs this morning. Really brings back childhood memories for me. May keep in refrigerator several days. Use an old metal ice cube tray (minus divider) or pan equal to that size, or use a couple of canned vegetable cans, emptied and washed and sprayed with butter spray.

A south beach friendly way to use any extra your garden is giving, try to pick them when they are less than 3 inches in diameter. Use lo-fat sour cream for phase one, but it tastes good no diet at all!

    Recipe #131346

Fresh grated Parmesan REALLY tops this buttery romantic dish. Came up with this when I was trying to mimic a dish I had eaten in our famous North End.

    Recipe #132158

If you think Alfredo sauce- that divine mixture of butter, cheese and cream-takes time and patience and is best left to those in white toques, this 15 minute recipe may change your mind. The recipe is courtesy Real Simple Solutions.
