I received this recipe back when I was in the 7th grade in my homemaking class and I have somehow managed to keep it this long. I guess the recipe is just that good. I make these cookies for Thanksgiving and Christmas and if I even think about skipping one year I get in trouble from my husband and friends!
A really good sugar cookie with a mint surprise! My Mom would make these for special occasions. I also remember feeling special when sharing these when she had her afternoon tea...they are really yummy! )Time est. does not include the dough chilling)
I found this recipe next to a Snickers coupon. It is absolutely fabulous. The Snickers is hidden inside the cookie so it makes for a nice surprise when you bite in. This cookie works perfectly as part of a Xmas cookie platter. If you are a Snickers fan, you are in for a real treat.
These are delicious, nutty, rich and buttery cookies that have a surprise inside...a Hershey's Kiss!! They are extremely easy to make and there are not many ingredients either! (Chill time not included in prep time)
This is an easy to make and yummy truffle. You can add different flavorings to make them uniquely yours! Great for gift giving - Melt in your mouth!! My kids and I do Christmas baskets full of nothing but homemade goodies - this is one of the favorites! (My cooking time is actual time "assembling" the truffles) Servings are approx - depends on how many you give to each person and how many you eat while making them :-) I usually get about 50 from each batch.
I was shopping in Wal-Mart, when an elderly lady came up to me and just started talking about this great dessert salad that she was planning to make. I went home and tried the recipe, and my husband and children fell in love. Now we make it at least 1 time a week. There are different variations of the salad, so I have given choices in the recipe based on your preferences. The can sizes are approximate.
I adopted this recipe from the recipezaar account. The previous owner said "This is the best chocolate frosting I have ever made. It is at its absolute best if not refrigerated after icing the cake.
If you try this you will be making it often."
These are amazing! Better than York's because the chocolate is so much thicker. The yield is a guess as the recipe is from a friend who made them at Christmas and gave them as gifts. Fortunately, I was one of the recipients.
This recipe has been updated to add more details after questions from reviewers. Cooking time is really drying time for the centers.
Once I tried these, I never bothered making 'traditional' sugar cookies again. A soft, flavorful cookie that is a MUST for me at Christmas. Note, the original recipe said they were cut-out cookies but I never was able to get them to work well that way. That is why I make the round ones as described.
