I wasn't sure how bitter, raw cranberries could turn into this tart-sweet holiday treat. They would be great year-round; however, you must start with fresh cranberries. The following is the original recipe. I had a 7.5 oz pkg of organic cranberries, so I reduced everything by a third. I also only had the ground versions of the cinnamon and cloves. It stilled turned out great, but I would use the whole versions next time.
from rachel ray magazine october 2010. like the old school candy buttons you'd pull of of the long white paper strips! :) time is 30 minutes prep time, NOT including standing time. playing with different food colorings is highly encouraged!! i cant wait to add my own flavorings!! :)
Fudgy, smooth chocolate and a kiss of sea salt is what this surprisingly healthy, gluten free candy is all about! I won't judge if you eat the mixture out of the food processor instead of pressing and chilling it... I did! I'm offering two variations, one is a vegan, nut free alternative made with SunButter, the other uses the incredible decadence of Nutella. Adapted from Diet, Dessert and Dogs and The Gluten Free Edge.
Remember when you could buy a 4 inch wide by 18 inch piece of paper with little sugar dots for a penny? I would get them at the local bakery. You can now make them or make them smaller for cake decoration. The good thing is that you can make them any color you need.
These are beautiful when done. The cracked top with the "yolk" showing in the middle of the white. This is a fantastic and fun summer dessert. Your guests will be so impressed and you will not believe how easy this dessert is to make. You don't even have to use the stove! The flavors are very complex - sweet, bitter, fresh and a bit spicy at the end. Awesome combination!
This is a romantic, seductive, rich, lush and thick, soft, chocolate covered berries! NOT a bite and crunch covered berries! Great for feeding your LOVED ONES. I've also cut a slice into the strawberry and put it onto a rim of my recipe #49905. You can decorate the top of a decadent chocolate cake with them.
