This recipe is from Taste of Home's Light & and Tasty Holiday Recipes 2004. These are not very sweet, but are a refreshing change of pace from the usual holiday baked goods, fudges, and candies. If you prefer a sweeter treat be sure to add sugar or sugar substitute to the mixture before rolling. I know there are many of us here at Zaar looking for good holiday treats that work with our eating plans. One snowball is 2 points.

Figs, dates, pomegranates and grapes were the only fruits that could be grown in the hot climate. From: Ancient Egyptian Food and Drink. This recipe was from 1600BC and was found on an ostraca. *NOTE* There are no times given but I'm thinking it would go pretty quickly with the food processor.

This log looks amazing cut into slices. Choose a good quality chocolate for this recipe. I use this recipe sometimes as a christmas log. Some amaretti biscuits are naturally gluten free because they are made with apricot kernels, sugar and egg whites so this can easily become a wheat free recipe.

I love salt water taffy, and always pick up some when I go to the beach... Here is a GREAT recipe for those who would like to make your own! Serving size depends on how lg. you cut your pieces. I love using peppermint, and mint flavoring. Sometimes I also mix in finely chopped nuts to the taffy at the end of the pulling, depending on what kind I am making. Experiment with your favorite choices... It's a REAL TREAT!
