    Beverages

It's always time for tea! Or coffee! Or something a little more exciting (i.e something with a kick)! Beverages are my favourite thing in the whole world. Right now I probably have over forty boxes of tea sitting in my pantry. Gosh. But when it's time for something other than tea from a box, here are some lovely ideas.

This is a very good shot drink. The amount of cinnamon is up to your personal tastes. I don't add a lot.

This is one of my husband's favorite drinks to get at the coffee shop. You can make it at home. I don't care for them much but they are very popular!

I modified the recipe from a can of cocoa powder. You can use 3 packets of Equal if you don't want to use sugar.

I knew I needed a reason to buy a bottle of Goldschlager, so thank you Michael Chiarello! We're shopping for a strong, clear cinnamon schnapps liqueur with 24k Gold Leaf Flakes. Now who wouldn't like that?? Besides, cinnamon is so good for you! Trader Joe carries Prosecco, an Italian sparkling wine, but I think it will take another trip to find the Goldschlager. This is so festive it will be perfect for the holidays!

A little something I put together to get my DM to eat a decent breakfast, she refused to eat cereal out of a bowl or eat fruit but put the lot in a blender (or use stab blender) with milk and it was gobble, gobble, gobble. I mainly use tinned fruit - peaches, fruit salad, pears, apricots, mango or fresh banana or equivelent of canned for fresh.

This cocoa mix does not use non-dairy creamer as most others. This is a big plus for those who do not usually use creamers. This mix can be made into spiced cocoa mix and also Java mix.

When we bought our home in AZ, an old bartender's book was left for us-dating from 1967. I wonder why they left it for us? DH and I like this highball-that is what they call it in the book. And it has cranberry juice in it so it must be good for you, :) too.

An adult way to enjoy a peach with a friend. I also learned that the juice of a ripe peach works very well with bourbon ... but that is another recipe.
