This combination has a fresh apple like flavor and is a great lite side salad. The time for preparation does not include the resting time

This is my mother's recipe with a few adaptations by me. They are wonderful crisp white, sweet pickles that go well with anything You nearly always see this pickle on Danish open faced liver pate sandwiches. If you cut them in spears they pack really well in the jars. It is more traditional to cut them across in 1/2" slices..

I was looking for different ways to fix cucumbers as I have a lot coming on in the garden. I found this on www,justvegetablerecipes.com.

    Recipe #98075

This sounds like another good way to use cucumbers, I will be making this soon as we have lots of cucumbers coming out of the garden. Time for letting cucumbers set is include in prep time.

The sesame oil in this salad gives it an interesting flavor. You might not ever think to combine cucumbers, oranges, and peanuts, but so far it's been a hit with the kids

    Recipe #57045

Delicious vegetables with a creamy dill dressing. Prep time does not include marination time, so allow for that.

Too many cucumbers in your garden this year -- this is a delicious change from the usual use of garden cucumbers. Recipe source: local newspaper

    Recipe #97667

A refreshing salad with a kick, how much of the dressing ingredients you want to add does not just depend on your taste buds but also on the size of the cucumbers.

    Recipe #64648

I love this with grilled meats and pitas! My original source was Womans Day, but I could not resist the added garlic!!!

    Recipe #57412

This is a very cooling sauce to go with spicy curries and other hot and piquant dishes. Try spooning it over your rice or dipping pieces of chapatis into it. Very good!

After visiting Greece I tried many recipes for Tzatziki and just couldn't get that thick Greek yogurt consistency. This recipe from Cooking Light is just what I have been looking for!

You can skip the preserved lemons(the salad will be just as good)! But be adventurous! Take time to finely cut all the vegies (confettied)! Serve as an appetizer, salad, side dish or main meal.

    Recipe #57277

I came up with this combination as a teen and it has always been my favorite. You can use any salad dressing of your choice and top with boiled eggs, sunflower seeds, cheese, croutons, bacon bits or whatever you choose. My preference with this one...just serve it like it is. The juices from the tomatoes are all the dressing I require! It is very colorful, light and refreshing! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

This is a standard breakfast in Palestinian households. I'm just writing up what I ate for breakfast nearly every day while I was living in Jordan with my Palestinian in-laws. This is traditionally eaten on the ground, laid out on a tablecloth, with the people grouped around. All of the ingredients are optional (except for the olive oil and tea of course!). Palestinians normally just round up whatever they've got in the house at the moment -- this is the complete version! I've listed white cheese here, this is the standard cheese for Palestinians. I only know it by this name, if anybody knows another, more specific name, could you please tell me?

We had this recently at a Japanese restaurant and it was soooo good. I love seaweed. Recipe from "At Home with Japanese Cooking" by Elizabeth Andoh. Cook time is for soaking the dried wakame.

This is similar to the recipe that my mother made when I was young. It is easy although the actual prep time seems long, it actually takes little time.

    Recipe #56817

This is a scrumptious, out of the ordinary sandwich, that will tickle your taste buds! Popular in England, Scandinavia, and all over the USA (especially California)

I had never heard of this dish before tasting it last summer at my fiancee's house. Then, everywhere I went it began to pop up. Its simple, down-to-earth charm depends upon the freshness of the ingredients- I can't wait for tomato season to return!

    Recipe #15277

My dear friend Lynn shared this recipe with me and it was absolutely addicting!!! I was so enamoured with it that I began eating it for breakfast!!!! Hope you enjoy it as well!!!
