Snazzy Sandwiches & Wraps

How fabulous that you can place a variety of delicious ingredients between slices of bread, rolls, bagels and waffles, or stuff them into tortillas or pitas and eat the finished product even as you're on the go? I mean really...how FABULOUS is that?

This is *the* ultimate sandwich for leftover roast beef, I also make this using thinly sliced leftover steak, you may adjust all amounts as desired, the amounts listed should make 6-8 sandwiches depending on the amounts used in the sandwiches --- I suggest to use crusty buns for this, they will hold the sauce better :)

A friend's mom passed this on to me. She and her husband had to relocate to Puerto Rico for his job and they spent quite a bit of time down there. When she came home, she brought a ton of new recipes to pass on to us. She and her husband had this at a small restaurant and they wouldn't give up the recipe. This is her take on it.

Great for breakfast or brunch. Time to prepare does not include time to cook the eggs.

Recipe #166712

Courtesy of Rachael Ray. (everydaywithrachaelray.com) My only change is to kick the "light" mayonnaise to the curb and go for the real deal, but I'm just greedy that way. ;o)

A really nice fireside supper for friends. Taste the Aus Jus first to make sure it's really "beefy" and add another bouillon packet if needed. Edit--if "heat bothers you" start with 1 teaspoon of black pepper.

From George Foreman. Would be great with fresh oregano!! Added some fresh basil and instead of the tablespoons of olive oil, used a spray bottle to save a few calories!! :)

From the May issue of Everyday with Rachael Ray. This is a Spanish version of an American classic. I love the kick of Recipe #82944 and reach for that recipe often, but this is something just a little different for an easy dinner.

You know how things are always popping into your head when you are laying in bed? Well, that's what happen to me. My Dad use to make these sandwiches for my brother and me. How can something so simple be so good? You decide....

This is a very TASTY, JUICY, LOOSE MEAT sandwich filling. In reading thru this recipe you will notice the use of both fresh and dried onion.....please use the onion type specified in the recipe step you are on for maximum flavor. Although traditionally served on hamburger buns, this filling can be messy for young children trying to keep filling in. Try using hotdog rolls for the youngsters. Mustard & Onions are the seasonings of choice for this recipe. Added 11/12/2008 Maid Rite sandwiches are made across the country. One would think as a franchise all would be made and served the same way. This is not the case.... we have Maid Rites being served that are boiled or steamed, with water, chicken broth, beef broth, coke, or beer. There are those that add vinegar or sugar to the mix. Some top with mustard, onions, ketsup, and pickles......well, move over McDonalds! This is the way I made my Maid Rite sandwiches....faux or real....the name stands. As they say,,,variety is the spice of life. You can make changes to suite your tastes, share your changes here with me, I will try them all...unless we have some bazarre ingredients. Chocolate syrup will not intice me no matter how much I love chocolate.

My daughter's favorite meal and one we all look forward to. The meat can be fried up a head of time and refrigerated until needed. Then just assemble and broil as directed.

My family loves these sandwiches, they are especially great using garden tomatoes, I make them using Pepper Jack cheese but American cheese slices works good also, you can adjust the butter amount to suit taste.
