    From the Chicken Coop

We eat so much chicken, I'm surprised we aren't clucking instead of talking! Since we haven't sprouted feathers yet, I guess I'm not too worried. Gotta run, though...it's time for our feed. I meant food...

I make mine on one cookie rack placed on a baking sheet but I'm sure that the chicken could still be great placed directly on a foil-lined baking sheet, although I don't think it would be as crispy. Plan ahead the chicken needs to soak in the buttermilk for a minimum of 4 hours or overnight. If you like a lot of heat then use 2 tablespoons of hot pepper sauce, or you can omit the hot pepper sauce completely, but I suggest adding it in, it really brings out the kick in this chicken---- you will *love* this recipe, I know my family does! :)

Sprinkle chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder and seasoning salt - then sautee and enjoy. Couldn't be easier! Great recipe for quick and easy meal, even for the pickiest eater!

Had this at a friend's house this weekend and it was great. Very different. She used a "Green Egg Smoker" which cooked the chicken slowly and kept it very moist. You can use boneless, skinless breasts and then serve them on nice bread with lettuce leaves, pickles (if you like) and the white sauce! My friend got the recipe from "Smoke and Spice" and this is a similar one from The BBQ General website from a magazine called Cook's Country. Hope you like it. I don't have a smoker but I can try indirect heating. I have a gas grill too so there are obstacles but I can experiment!

I made this recipe up using simple ingredients you can buy from the store. Everyone who tries it, loves it.

Fantastic way to broil chicken that adds that 'extra something!'

    Recipe #188328

This recipe came from Allrecipes (Ruth Crickmer). My whole family loved it even though it cooked too fast. The original recipe said 'high heat' on the grill, which my husband did. It ended up cooking 8 minutes total, charred but not burnt tasting, and very juicy and flavorful. We'll turn down the heat next time for texture, but this is a keeper in our home!

A wonderful & quick recipe from Michael Cordúa, a 1994 Best New Chef, now chef-owner of Churrascos, Amazon and Américas in Houston. SERVE WITH: Tomato salad.

This is in response to a request on the boards. Hope this helps! : )

This sounds like an odd combination of ingredients, but it is very yummy! The chipotle peppers give the chicken a nice smoky, spicy flavor, and the apple juice makes it just a tad bit sweet. You can adjust the heat easily, from mild to spicy. My mild recipe is just perfect for my Irish-German husband :)

This recipe came from another recipe site. It is mouthwatering delicious. Beautiful presentation. Simple, simple, simple to make. Originally found the recipe in February and just got around to making it. I'm sorry I lost all of that time eating it! I'll make up for it now. Cook time does not include 2 hours for marinating.

Rebecca posted this on the web. I ate this the other night and I LOVED IT! It was awesome. Try it. The recipe is very similar to a chicken dish served at a local well-known restaurant.

    Recipe #59120

This is from the Australian Women's Weekely New Cookbook (which is now VERY old). September 09. I had this at a friend's place last week and she used prosciutto instead of regular ham-a really good substitution I'll be trying soon myself.

This is an AWESOME and easy chicken recipe. I can't get enough of. I pretty much devised it on my own.

The sauce in this dish is unbelievably delicious! If desired, mushrooms or artichokes can be omitted. This will become one of your family's favorite chicken dishes.

    Recipe #143600

This recipe is the very best chicken recipe I have tried. My picky eaters, hubby and son, LOVED it! It is easy to make and I'm sure this will become a regular in your household!

I wanted to make something tasty last night, but since we're both going out of town next week, I haven't been grocery shopping. This is what I made with what I had in the freezer and it was yummy!!

Very easy to put together, and the result is fabulous. Make sure to serve mashed potatoes or rice along side of this, to mop up the great tasting sauce!

This is another great way to make something great ahead of time to thaw as needed or eat right now with little effort!

    Recipe #79944

This is not at all difficult to make --- although you can use uncooked bacon strips I prefer to semi-cook the bacon in the oven first just to release some fat but do not cook until crisp or wrapping it around the chicken will be impossible --- the chicken may be prepared up to one day in advance, which makes this great dinner party food, just cover refrigerate and mix up the sauce when ready to bake :)
