From www.TopSecretRecipes.com Posted by request, this came from TSR. I haven't actually tried it myself, nor have I ever been to a Baja Fresh restaurant, but I've gotten pretty good results with many other TSR recipes. Note: prep and cook time are estimated, and the key points are the firm, chilled tomatoes and stem-side-down start to blackening them.
A fast and healthier way to serve Chimichangas than the traditional deep fried. These are very good, and you may dress them up to you own preference. I like to serve with green chile sauce sometimes instead of the picante sauce.
If you like spicy wings, you HAVE to give these a try. My husband and I have been making these for years and never has there been any left. We like to grill them and serve w/ celery and blue cheese. My kids even gobble these down!
www.TopSecretRecipes.com I was totally addicted to these tacos when I was a teen-ager, I remember going through the drive-thru and ordering a big bag of these for all my friends (in the back seat, necking).I'm guessing at the prep and cook times. This is from Top Secret Recipes by Todd Wilbur.
If you love Chile con Queso, sink you teeth into this cheesy gooey burger for a real taste explosion! Have a napkin and some tortilla chips ready to catch what your mouth misses because you will want to save every bite! Beer Recommendation: A rich malty, roasty beer that absorbs the heat and provides a great counterpart to chilies and grilled meat is a good choice to pair with these burgers. If you happen to find a Noche Buena, a great dark beer from Mexico, this would be my first choice. Second would be Negra Modelo, a slightly sweet brew with some fruitiness, it's malty for a Mexican beer and goes well with Anaheim and Jalapenos.
A great Super Bowl or teen party snack (or a hearty nosh for anyone)! Make the chili ahead of time, then just dish it up on some cheesy fries and serve! Emeril's original recipe calls for deep-frying shoestring potatoes yourself, but I use the frozen-fry shortcut! I also seemed to need more masa harina than originally called for. Can also be made with vegetarian meat crumbles. Cook time includes chili preparation.
My DH is a huge Steelers fan. Ben Roethlisberger is the quarterback for the team and apparently pretty popular in the Pittsburgh area. DH heard about these burgers and had to have one! There seem to be different versions..this is a combo of 2 of them.
These babies crush any tacos made with just ground beef and "taco seasoning". They are guaranteed to be gone at any party. The filling can also be used for burritos, salads, eggs and whatever else you can imagine.
I needed something quick for dinner last night, and so created this on-the-spot -- inspired by a garlic chicken recipe I read in a cookbook, which used whole chicken pieces, skin and bone. Plus I wanted to finish off my bag of panko so I could go buy a new one. I was so pleased with how this turned out that I intend to make it regularly. Panko are japanese bread crumbs and they are highly superior to any other type; please try to source them out for this dish rather than use regular dry bread crumbs. The "international" or "ethnic" aisle in your grocery store should sell panko; if not, complain to the manager!
I had these at a local Victorian fair made by a catering firm from Delaware. I loved them so much, I had them for lunch and dinner that day! I tried recreating them at home, and after a couple attempts, came up with these.
