Raita is an Indian salad, refreshing and low in calories. Two or three spoonfuls make an ample serving. I found this recipe in the Beltane Papers magazine.

This recipe was posted in reply to a beer bread "Recipe Request" on the message board. Herbed Beer Cheese Bread By Charlie Brown, Alaskan (Beer) Brewer. The aroma of fresh baked bread, combined with herbs, accompanied by beer....ah! Try this bread!

    Recipe #35037

This recipe came from Alice Bay Cookbook. The buttermilk sauce sounds strange, but believe me, it is really good. I always double the recipe, as I don't want to run out.

    Recipe #20585

This is a quick, easy recipe for those hot summer evenings when you don't feel like cooking. I cook the chicken breasts early in the morning and just chop up the rest and throw it all together when we're ready to eat.

    Recipe #64703

This recipe is from Jeff Smith's The Frugal Gourmet on our Immigrant Ancesters. Try it, it's great.

    Recipe #40830

from Jeff Smith's "The Frugal Gourmet: On Our Immigrant Ancestors"

I think this came from the Frugal gourmet's tv show - was it back in the 80's? Anyway, this technique of "sealing in the juices" is wonderful and it ends the controversy (at least with me) whether the chicken on the grill is "really done". Try this.
