    From Vij's in Vancouver. Adjust the quantity of cayenne in this recipe according to how much "heat" you prefer. As with most spicy casseroles, the flavours of this curry will improve on standing, but add the fresh coriander just before serving. If cumin seeds are unavailable, substitute an additional 1 tsp. (5 mL) ground cumin. This was one of Mean Chefs recipes which I was lucky enough to adopt, have made it as stated and it is delicious!

    Last year I went on a trip to the West Coast and ate sturgeon for the first time. It is incredible! I ate at a restaurant called The Ark on Long Beach peninsula several times, and this was the sturgeon I enjoyed there. This dish is fantastic, and really easy to make. If you don't have sturgeon, I think any firm fleshed white fish would work.

    My sister gave me this recipe from Camp Wi-ne-ma, on the Oregon coast. We spent many a wonderful summer day at Wi-ne-ma, on the beach, in the chapel, or with our camp friends in the dining hall. If I close my eyes I can still hear the sounds of the kids chatting and laughing in the echoing high-ceilinged hall, still smell the delicious odors of our meals. My sister Cathy says, "I remember these from my many summers spent at Camp Winema, while growing up. They were my favorite cookie, and still are to this day. Whenever I bite into one of these cookies, I have many fond memories from those days."

    I found this one on the web but I don't remember where. This is no place for watery lager. It calls for a beer or ale with a full robust flavor. I usually use a Brown or Red Ale from ICE HARBOR BREWERY, my favorite local Micro brewery. Fat Tire Ale from The New Belgium Brewery is another good choice. Most Ramen recipes are particularly handy for RV cooking, ie, minimum use of gas, not much heat buildup in the kitchen, and the pantry doesn't weigh much.

    My favorite Pub, Ice Harbor Brewing Company, adopted my New Mexico Pulled Pork #91250 to make sandwiches as their "Tuesday Special". They serve them with a southwest sauce. I've been trying to clone that sauce but failed. I did however, in the process, come up with this sauce that I'm rather pleased with. I use it on sandwiches, breakfast burritos, flautas, onion rings, french fries, and all manner of things. has fresh un-ground chili powders and top quality Paprika.
