    I have found that it works great to make the "filling" up a head of time. Just prep and put in the refrigerator until needed. This is one of our favorite meals. NOTE: The friend who gave me this recipe uses canned cooked chicken. I'm sure the other precooked chicken tenders they sell now would also work.

    Love the combination of flavors and textures in this savoury salad. Delicious also as a sandwich (leaving out the grapes). Try it cold or a yummy hot variation: on one slice of sweet, whole-grain bread, spread 1/2 cup of chicken salad and put under broiler until heated, but not bubbly; top with 3 slices of bacon and 1 slice of provolone cheese. Return to broiler until cheese is melted. Yum!

    I searched and finally found this recipe on the internet. It is a copycat of the Bourbon Chicken sold in Chinese carry-outs in my hometown. This recipe is so good that my sons gobble it up leaving me just a spoonful. Their excuse was they thought I had eaten.     This recipe is a combination of a Southern Living Recipe and my Grandmother's recipe. I used short cuts when they worked and this is a recipe that my whole family loves.
