An unusual soup - not overly spicy. Beef can be substituted for the lamb, but increase the herbs by about half if you do. Beef is a "stronger" meat than lamb.

Need chicken soup fast and don't have time to cook that bird for hours? This has happened to us plenty of times, when someone has come home in the mood for chicken soup.

A hearty soup that everyone will enjoy, especially on those cold and snowy winter nights!

    Recipe #36599

Number of servings is approximate! This is my family's favorite soup. The recipe makes ALOT of I like to prepare and freeze it for busy nights when I don't really have alot of time to cook. If I'm making this to freeze, I omit the potatoes and add them later. My family loves this with thick slices of plain or cracklin cornbread! Enjoy!

This cholesterol-free tasty dish is virtually fat free and is prepared with only 1 tbsp. of oil. You can eat the whole pot. I have a trick after reading the reviews about the pasta soaking up the liquid. Cook the pasta seperate and drain put in a bowl next to the soup for serving. Put 2 or three good size spoonfuls in bottom of bowl then ladle the soup over it. Thats how i do it with pasta and rice soups.
