    This gem of a recipe was found in the 2005 cookbook, Raw Food -- Real World. NOTE: For those who might be concerned about whether or not agave nectar is a raw food, here is a quote from the internet = "To make the agave nectar, sap is extracted from the pina, filtered, and heated at a low temperature, which breaks down the carbohydrates into sugars. Lighter and darker varieties of agave nectar are made from the same plants. Because of the low temperatures used in processing many varieties (under 118°F) raw foods enthusiasts generally regard agave nectar as a raw food."

    From Alive in 5 by Angela Elliot. I haven't tried it yet, but it looks yummy! Posted for the Veg*n Recipe Swap. (I think I've read that the Himalayan and Celtic salts used in many Raw Recipes are a bit less "salty" than regular table salt, so I would salt with caution and to taste.)

    Raw, naturally sweet & amazingly healthy and delicious. This is my take on Vivian's original recipe. There is a lot of room to improvise here. I've had several different versions of this pie and it was excellent every time. This recipe comes from an old hand written recipe card from a friend's mom's recipe collection. Whoever Vivian is, bless her heart, I love this pie.

    This is from The One-Dish Vegetarian by Maria Robbins. The author notes, "This uncooked sauce can only be made in the height of summer when vine-ripened tomatoes and sweet corn, picked only hours before, are available. " I say it's absolutely delicious. I wish I could eat it year-round.

    This pie was inspired by Wendys Kitchen's delicious Recipe #260890 which is made of nothing but raw fruit and nuts. (Well, and a little splash of vanilla.) Cooking time is chilling time. This pie tastes very good, but it does turn brown fairly quickly. I will try 2 Tblsp lemon juice next time.

    From Victoria Boutenko's 12 Steps to Raw Foods. I haven't tried it yet, but I have to give the book back to the library. The recipe says: "you have to experiment to get the consisitency desired." I guess that means add more water if necessary or more solids if it's too wet.
