This yummy dessert/salad has been in the family for ages. Works just as well with sugar free jello and light products. I usually double this recipe, and serve it as a nice light dessert or side salad whenever the weather warms. Great for potlucks! Enjoy! Note: Cook time is chill time.

Yes, I hate yogurt, but I know the nutritional value and how good it is for you. I now make this at least once a week and eat it as a low calorie snack at work almost daily. Anyone who has tried it loves it. No yogurt taste at all. Try it, you'll become a yogurt eater too.

When I was a teen I worked in the kitchen of a local hospital. This was the most popular dessert by patients and staff. The dessert cook refused to part with the recipe, so one day I distracted her while my partner in crime Ed stole the recipe to copy. The drama was well worth it. This is light and delicious. Prep time does not include the jello thickening time nor refrigeration time.
The first time I made this my kids were in awe. They loved the colors. I took it to a church potluck and it was gone really quick. The recipe takes time as the jello layers need to set - however the presentation is very nice. I think this is a TOH recipe.
This dessert/salad brings back such fond feelings. This is the recipe my grandmother served the kids 2-3 times a year when we were all together. After she died no one could find her recipe for this. This salad is a MUST at our holiday table...maybe it will be at yours too! To speed the jelly stage along, I place the bowl in the freezer, but watch it closely. If it goes past the jelly stage, put it in the microwave for a few seconds to loosen it. This is GREAT for potlucks too!
