This recipe from the *Nightcaps* section of the Australian Women's Weekly "Cocktail Guide" cookbook would surely be a lovely way to end a romantic evening. *Enjoy* (Note: There is another version of this drink w/the same name already posted, but they are distinctly different.) *Edited to Add* on 9/19/08 -- For any who might be curious about the strength of this cocktail, I ck'd the % of alcohol in ea ingredient & found that Amaretto is 24%, Kahlua 26.5% & Bailey's 17%. As the amts of ea are equal, the % of alcohol by volume is 22.5%. :-) *Further Edit* on 7/3/12 -- While this recipe was found in an Australian cookbook, its ingredients were decidedly more international than they were Australian. Given the choice of Italy for Amaretto, Mexico for Kahlua or Ireland for Baileys ... I opted to pay homage to my Irish roots & include it as part of this ZWT cookbook. :-)

Found this in one of those little grocery store magazines and it looks so yummy I want to save it here to try when those warm, lazy summer days arrive. The magazine states "A batido is a popular Latin American drink made with water, milk, fruit and ice. It is similar in testure to a smoothie and literally means "beaten" in Portuguese" Sound good to me. Update: After seeing Loof's wonderful picture I finally got around to making this myself and so glad I did. Love that tropical flavor.

Recipe from First Magazine 7/4/05 in an article regarding the green tea diet. I really enjoy this drink. I have also made it with orange spice flavored green tea and then used unflavored selzer.

This spiced cinnamon hot chocolate is liberally laced with brandy and topped with whipped cream, it is the type of hot chocolate I remember drinking après-ski in Germany and in the French Alps. It is the perfect drink to warm your tingling fingers and toes on a cold and frosty evening or morning. Great throughout the Holiday season, as well as Christmas, New Year and the winter months, OR for those "Why Not" days! This makes 4 generous tall mugs of hot chocolate. Please adjust the brandy to suit your taste - we find the amount listed here gives a lovely warm tingle, however you can leave the brandy out for drivers and those that don't drink alcohol - you will still have a delicious spiced and decadent drink! Do try to use a high quality and high cocoa solids chocolate - it makes all the difference to the taste! Salut !

A squeeze of orange in this punch tastes delightful!

    Recipe #294579

Hot buttered bourbon is usually made with plain water, and sweetened, but this recipe uses cider instead. From the book, "Drinks to Warm Body & Soul", this drink can also be made with rum or brandy instead of bourbon. Time does not include time used to make Nutmeg Butter.

    Recipe #347355

This is from Vegetarian Times. January 2007. This sounds lovely.

My, Oh My....what a Heavenly Flavor! Put your feet up and relax with a little bit of heaven. Gives hot chocolate a zing and a zap! Use regular or sugar-free hot cocoa mix. Quick preparation!
