I have a recipe posted for taco seasoning and it's my go-to recipe anytime I need a package of taco seasoning mix - tastes so much better than the packaged stuff. For the last several years, I've written down the following recipe for every bridal shower I've attended where I was asked to bring a recipe. I finally decided that I should post it here. Serve with your favorite taco topping or as a salad or nachos. This recipe may also be used with ground turkey.
A recipe that I found on the back of Muir Glen tomatoes. This makes a really nice soup for lunch and is very quick and easy. The recipe calls for 1/4 cup of whipping cream added at the end. I don't always use it depending on my mood.
A gluten free, dairy free chowder that draws its creaminess from peanut butter and coconut milk. Makes a nice lunch or a quick and easy meal for those busy weeknights. Cooking time does not include time for cooking brown rice
When my daughter was little she had several allergies and I had to change the way I made a lot of our favorites. Even though she has outgrown all of them but milk, I still make meatloaf the exact same way that I did then. This version is dairy and egg free and if you use gluten free oats, it becomes gluten free as well. We always serve this with BBQ Sauce.
This recipe came from Redbook's Wise Woman's Diet. It is a very simple recipe for Chicken Marsala. It doesn't include any mushrooms or anything fancy and it's been one of our family favorites for a long time.
This is a recipe from a collection of Amish Recipes published by a restaurant in Northern Indiana called Das Dutchman Essenhaus. Even though there are quite a few hot chicken salad, I'm posting this one because it is a little different and I want to know the nutrition information. The recipe calls for real mayonnaise. Do not sub fat free or low fat mayo as it will change the taste of the recipe.
A recipe from www.mizfrogspad.com that I have altered for my allergies. This dressing is low in fat and calories and has a lovely, sunset-rose color. Makes about one cup. Refrigeration time not included.
This is really quick and easy to make. I usually make a double batch and freeze individual patties to keep in my freezer for breakfast. I have another turkey sausage recipe, but I've since found this one and like it much better. These can be cooked in a skillet or on a George Foreman grill.
This chili really isn't that spicy, but it is good. We really like lamb and I was looking for some different ways to prepare it. Found this recipe on www.americanlamb.com and have adapted it to fit my allergies. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
This was originally a recipe for the crock pot. I tend not to use my crock pot too often for meals because I'm away from home for more than 10 hours and I don't have one that can be programmed. I've adapted it to be made on the stove top, but you could still make it in the crock pot. Just put all the ingredients in your crock pot and cook on low for 7-8 hours (or 3 1/2-4 hours on high).
This is a remake of my recipe #290137. I had purchased a container of spinach to make the soup recipe for an iron chef competition at work. I ended up not participating because there was a conflict. I didn't want to throw away the spinach and it was too hot for soup, so I came up with this one-dish meal. It was very filling and low-fat. I calculated this on the WW website and it's 4 points per serving.
