This is a clone of Tastycake's "Peanut Butter Tandy Cake" snack cakes. It is easy, inexpensive, and tastes just like the real thing. Great to put in lunch boxes! I guarantee the kids will adore you for this one! Wrap individual pieces in wax paper to put into lunches. Peanut butter, chocolate, and cake...now who could ask for more!?!?!
This is so fast & easy to prepare. Another winner from Robin Miller. I prefer to ice mine, she just dusted with powdered sugar. Either way, this is a moist, delicious cake that is ready so fast...I don't even let it cool first if I am just using powdered sugar.
This wonderful cake tastes like a chocolate brownie mixed with vanilla cheesecake. The blending of the rich fragrant vanilla and the mellow German chocolate is perfect and creates a creamy treat that melts in your mouth. This cake is well worth the extra effort.
This was made by my grandmother every Holiday. She would make three or four of these at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Her mom, Grandma Florence, made these for her when she was growing up. It has been passed down now to me, the fourth generation. Enjoy.
If you are looking for a delicious, impressive dessert, you should give this recipe a try. This cake is best when made the day before serving. Garnish the top with the chocolate whipped cream and nuts just before serving. The Prep/Cook times do not include the minimum 3 to 4 hour cooling time needed before serving.
A chocolate-y, decadent, rich cake with a silky, heavenly frosting all accented with a touch of almond. Eat it and weep! Adapted from a recipe by Anne Byrn out of her Cake Mix Doctor book. Soooo Gooood!
This is the best chocolate cake I've ever eaten! Something between a mousse and a cake, it is so moist it will melt in your mouth like a chocolate bar. I tried about 7 different flourless chocolate cake recipes before I came up with this one which incorporates only the best of them all. This cake will only be as good as the chocolate you use, so make it good! If you are on a no-flour diet (for celiacs for instance) this cake is perfect- just use sweet rice flour to flour the pan instead of wheat flour. For an exotic treat, add 2 tsp key-lime zest or 2 tsp key-lime extract along with the vanilla extract. Cooking time does not include chilling time.
I've never made this but I tasted a bit, that was all that was left, and it was really good. It only has 4 ingredients and sounds super easy to make. I think you could easily substitute homemade sauce for the hershey's. I think it would be great to take to a potluck because you wouldn't have to worry about keeping it warm or making sure it doesn't spill on the way there.
