Made with red tea bags for Oman name game.rooibos is the name of the red tea celestial seasonings has it here in the states ,it has no caffeine tis is really spicy and good flavored i used 1/2 the sugar because its very sweet the way its written and from what i know about middle eastern tea thats about right lol

for na*me game they are in oman and needed some recipes i would not add as many spices probably only a teaspoon for me but im writing recipe true . i only use a drop of rosewater and a LITTLE cardamom and i have used turmeric for saffaron in oatmeal before it gives it warm yellow color. i tried this and it was really tasty i like my cream of wheat a little tighter

The Omani people are well known for their hospitality and offers of refreshment. To be invited into someone's home will mean coffee (kahwa), a strong, bitter drink flavoured with cardamom, and dates or halwa. Posted for the North African Middle East (NAME) forum. Serving Omani coffee has certain traditions to be observed. Such rituals include that the cup should not be filled to the rim. It is rather served with only one fourth of the cup is filled, Also when the person have taken enough coffee he or she should shake his cup as a sign so that the one who is serving stop pouring more coffee for him.

The NA/ME Forum will be spending January 2013 exploring the country & here is my culinary contribution. **2 of 3 people LOVED this! It took awhile for it all to come to a boil & from there I simmered 5 minutes. It thickened upon standing. Enjoy!**

When I discovered how few recipes representing Oman were on the site, I went searching. The NA/ME Forum will be spending January 2013 exploring the country & here is my culinary contribution. **this is delicious! It was perfectly sweetened & lightened. I re-steeped adding 3c water, the last 4oz of evap milk in the can & only 1TB sugar. Also, 1st time, I added 2TB crystallized ginger & only 2TB sugar. YUM!**

Entered for safe-keeping. From June 2012 Vegetarian Times. Yet another version of this spice best known as seasoning in Moroccan couscous, as you will have to experiment to find your favorite version to suit your taste preference and spice availability. Compared to my Recipe #374781 #374781, this version has much less cinnamon, and a lot more ground coriander, and it uses smoked paprika. Ras El Hanout can contain up to 50 different spices and vary in heat and intensity. VT said its version is mild and simplified, yet full of flavor.

I took a bag of lima beans & a recipe from Mark Bittman's 'How to Cook Everything Vegetarian', used 3 different suggested variations then did my own tweaking to arrive at this. I went with a Middle Eastern twist. It is very lemony, thyme-y, creamy from the beans & olive oil, a bit of zip from the pepper; just delicious. And very easy. This made enough for 4 people's dinner w/out leftovers. Who knew lima beans could be SO good?? The 90 minute prep time is for cooking the beans and is approximate.
