This is a French-inspired tuna salad sandwich, which is an adapted recipe from Sara Moulton. Cook time does not include hard boiling the eggs (you could do that ahead of time).

From Cuisine at Home, haven't tried, but looking forward to it! The coleslaw mixture with the turkey sounds soooo good!

Velvety smooth hummus makes a delicious and nutritious meal-in-a-pocket.

Not just for lunch...think breakfast or dinner!

Although, you can find this sandwich on the menu at many diners, my favorite place to get one of these is right in my own kitchen. Back in the day, when the Catholic religion had a "no meat on Fridays" rule, Mama often made these for Friday lunch (and, sometimes, supper) for my brothers and me. In Chicago, especially during the Lenten season, many of the Italian beef stands offered this sandwich as an alternative to meat on Fridays ( I think that this is possibly how this sandwich came about). Whatever the case, I love this sandwich (and, I don't wait til Friday) and it brings me back to a simpler time!!!!

This is a low good fat version of a grilled cheese seasoned with fresh and dried herbs and garden fresh tomatoes. I used a regular pan but for ease you can use a nonstick pan.

Sandwich big enough to feed a crowd. You can make this up to 24 hours ahead, and just unwrap, slice and enjoy. Perfect for picnics.

This is a very quick no-fuss chipotle mayo. Try it on a grilled chicken, tomato and cheddar sandwich on ciabatta bread.

Serve with a green bean salad for filling meal

A delicious recipe from Ina Garten's cookbook, Barefoot Contessa at Home. If you don't have a panini press, that's okay, just place in a skillet with a heavy weight on top(foil covered brick, or heavy cast iron skillet, etc.) Enjoy!

Recipe #380940

I found this recipe in one of those Taste of Home recipe leaflets. I thought it sounded pretty good, so I wanted to put it here for safe-keeping. (I haven't tried this yet). Submitted to "ZAAR" on August 21st,2006

Plain old egg salad goes upscale with the addition of bacon, chopped olives and Dijon mustard. 8 minute cook time is for the bacon.

This is one of my all time FAVORITE sandwiches. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Onions and olives go together well with the mayo in this recipe... YUMMO! The Finger Roll recipe is GREAT around the holidays and for baby and bridal showers, graduations, weddings, parties, and family get togethers. Just omit the lettuce if making the Finger Rolls. Each can of tuna will make 3-4 finger rolls, depending on how full you make them, and how big the rolls are. You can double or triple this recipe, according to how many Finger Rolls you need. This is a great recipe to use up leftover Thanksgiving food! I really love it. It is also really good with smoked turkey. Although I have listed jellied cranberry sauce, feel free to use cranberry relish that you made. The jellied type just stays on the sandwich better!

You do not need a panini press to make this sandwich, just use a skillet. From the cookbook "Delizioso: Panini the Italian Way"

A fancy twist on a tuna melt.

A favorite salad gets its turn in a sandwich. For a different flavor, use jarred roasted red peppers in place of the tomato. Purchased pesto is fine here, but homemade is even better.

This is so good!

Recipe #123357

I received a Panini machine for Xmas. I tried to recreate my favorite panini; this is IT.

A GREAT MEAL for a BUSY DAY! Add this to your 30 minute meals. Wonderful melting, gooey cheese over a tomato sauce with Italian flavored sausage on a roll. WOW! This is good stuff especially for Italian food lovers or hungry teenagers.
