Our favorite commercial wing sauce is "Wing-Time" sauce, but it can be a bit difficult to find in stores. My husband likes the hot version (as opposed to the "very hot" - he says it has more flavor, even though he likes extremely spicy food), and I like the mild version. Unfortunately, the mild version is almost impossible to find, so I needed to create my own recipe. And believe me, this recipe makes a nice, tangy, flavorful mild wing sauce! I use this recipe as the basis for buffalo sauce recipes, and then if my husband wants it spicier he simply can add his own favorite hot sauces over top the cooked food. Delicious!

    Recipe #397659

This is a recipe from Bon Appetit, October 1998, one that is so delicious that it needs no tweaking...the combination of these simple ingredients creates perfect kitchen alchemy. Decadent in the extreme, save it for those special occasions when you really want to WOW. One of the many reviews on that site used two capfuls of pure vanilla extract instead of the vanilla bean, but since I used a vanilla bean I can not vouch for this substitution.

A rich, classic sauce for fish and poultry. I found this recipe at their online site. I love their lemon butter sauce.

Want a different twist than the standard Maple Syrup on your pancakes/waffles. Quick and easy to make. Great on Ice Cream also!

I got this recipe from copykat.com from a reviewer that put in the "real" recipe. According to the reviewer, this is right off of the sauce card. Time is just a guess as I haven't made this.

This is a great recipe and it can also be used as a base to create your own flavorful BBQ sauce from. Try it on Recipe #294417 :)

This is kind of like the creamy garlic sauce you can get from pizza places. I like it with the garlic raw, but next time i will saute it for a less harsh flavor. Just made this up in the fly tonight!

I love herbed butters. You can use them on so many things from bread to steaks or even veggies. This would also make a great gift! Enjoy!

This is from a magazine. A tasty dip for vegetables

My French friend came over for lunch recently & as we stood in the kitchen chatting & sampling the fine wine, I thought I'd impress her and whip up a homemade mayonnaise for the eggs! As I started my drop by drop method, she laughed and showed me this AMAZING way of making mayonnaise in a flash! The only criteria seemed to be the bowl, or lack of a bowl - she uses an old fashioned TALL glass measuring jug, which I also happen to have. Once you have made it this way, you will never go back to the drop by drop way ever again! Here's Michelle's Mayonnaise!

This method is quick, easy and versatile. Use any berries you like.

    Recipe #162801

Another recipe I grew up with from the Bero book. This is a wonderfully thick sauce, great with mashed potatoes, steamed veg, and especially broccoli. Works well as a make-ahead, after being cooled in the fridge you can literally just cut a slice off the block so you easily get as much as you want. I usually buy the strongest shredded cheddar I can find as my joints won't put up with doing it myself. I'd advise picking the strength of cheese you are fond of though. I've listed it all as prep time as it needs fairly constant attention.

I knew this recipe wouldn't be here at Zaar because it's very very old. It came from my ex-boyfriend's Aunt Suzie. She was different from the rest of the family (she a Baptist, they were Catholic) which made her the black sheep. She and I got along like peas and carrots. I commented that I loved to cook and she gave me this recipe. It was her husband's grandmother's recipe. She said it was his favorite.

    Recipe #159419

Tasty and easy to make. I use my hand blender, so no lumps!

    Recipe #146514

This goes back a long time, and I still make it to serve with a turkey dinner. It is one of my favorite cranberry recipes, and is always enjoyed by everyone. Serve this at your holiday dinner table and you will receive rave reviews! You can make this up to a week in advance.... this has the perfect balance of sweet and tart with the the right texture! No need to double the recipe this makes close to 6 cups, plan ahead the sauce needs to chill for 24 hours before using and you may omit the walnuts if desired

    Recipe #145383

It has never been a written recipe, but this stuff is great!

    Recipe #115698

After learning how good asparagus is for the body and how well it helps the kidneys. I thought this recipe was an excellent one. It is not cooked so the the asparagus is full of Vitamin A, Folic Acid. Did you know that asparagus has the largest percentage of RDA of folic acid then any other food source!! So eat up. This is excellent served as a dip or a spread. This recipe came from one of my favorite magazines: Organic Gardening
