There's a song about a meal, I love this version of the song I found on youtube.com - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xVvL4-srt6U which would do just fine in your crockpot. Easy and economical and sure to please all the hillbillies in your family as much as it pleases the hillbillies in our family. Give it a try. If your favorite roadkill is not available you can substitute a nice pork roast.

Although Kraut is a German dish, us Polish folks eat a bunch of it. I learned to make this from my mother who learned it from her mother. There's no way of knowing how long it has been in the family--it probably arrived from Poland with my ancestors.

This is a recipe my Grandma used to make when I was young. She passed away when I was around 12 and my Aunt Judy started making them for the family gatherings and holidays. They are delicious.

Since he was able to talk, grandson Jonathan, has requested some of Gwanny's Double Eggs when he comes to visit--it took a while to realize he meant DEVILED Eggs. The special ingredient is the added small boiled irish potato which takes on the tastes of the condiments, and extends the amount of filler in the egg. The amount of condiments to add is dependant upon your own taste and consistancy desired.

This was in a church cookbook I received as a gift many moons ago. Don't have the book anymore, but I saved the recipe. It's the only potato salad I've ever made, and I never felt the need to look further. It's always gone when I make it for a Bar-B-Q. Prep time includes boiling the potatoes, and chopping veggies. The big secret is to make sure you don't over-boil the potatoes,or you're going to have mush.

I needed to make cabbage rolls in a hurry one day, so I converted my regular recipe to a quicker variety. These taste every bit as good as the original.
