These were really tasty. I think you could add any spice you like to the flour mixture.

    Recipe #35711

Just made this up and it is so easy to make in the microwave, and all kids like it in my family, including my nieces. It is very tasty and so quick to fix.

    Recipe #222273

This recipe is perfect for those of us who love homemade biscuits, but only cook for 1 or 2 people. You'll have 4 fresh, warm, tender biscuits on your plate in only 15 minutes. These biscuits cook up so quickly, that you can enjoy them any time of day! Eat them for breakfast, spread with butter, jelly, or honey, or use them to wipe up every drop of gravy off your dinner plate. Also try placing the raw biscuits on top of your favorite pot pie filling, and you'll have a hearty, comforting meal. This is a great way for new cooks to learn how to make biscuits!!

This is such a simple side dish that I use often. You can adjust the butter and sour cream amounts to satisfy your taste and diet. My measurements here are pretty rough estimates--I usually eyeball it, so keep that in mind.

    Recipe #246519

This recipe can be expanded to meet the needs of any meal. Just be sure to keep the potatoes in single layer.

    Recipe #43782

Adapted from a "Taste of Home Light and Tasty" publication--a different mix of spices for a sweet and spicy side dish. You can make this as sweet or as spicy as you want...adjusting the spices accordingly. Carrots are a powerhouse of vitamin A, which helps preseve eyesight and supports the immune system.

I love these and don't make them often enough! Sometimes I can just have one of these for lunch. Cook/prep time does not include pre-baking the potato. I pre-cook mine in the oven (my preference), but you can also microwave it.

    Recipe #72900

Got this from Taste of Home. Thanks to this recipe my DH and DD will eat carrots. I was a little skeptical at first about the vinegar, but it keeps it from not being too sweet.

    Recipe #213263

When it gets close to grocery shopping day and the larder is almost empty, you can come up with some good meals with limited ingredients. Use the best quality olive oil for this. Perfect for a light dinner entree. Serve with French baguette or rolls and a crisp salad; fresh fruit on the side. I also like serving this with Recipe #78791 if I don't feel like throwing a salad together.

Mashed potatoes with cream-style cottage cheese, butter, mayonnaise, chives and sprinkled with cheddar cheese and baked.

    Recipe #152471

A great brunch or side dish idea. I would characterize this dish as elegant, easy to prepare, pleasing in flavor and CHEAP! You could expand the recipe and serve these potatoes to a bunch of guys for a SUPER BOWL or poker party. My wife really loved this version of the venerable and versatile sweet potato.

Easy side dish that kills two birds with one stone!

    Recipe #220696

This is such a simple way of preparing and cooking corn. All of the goodness is maintained within the corn. You will love it done this way. I prefer white corn or peaches and cream corn.

    Recipe #132249

I have tried so many different recipes for Onion Rings and many were very good. However, I was looking for a real tasty, crispier Onion Ring and finally found this recipe posted by BlogChef. I made some modifications and this is my crispy, crunchy recipe.

    Recipe #375578

Poor? Hungry? Since potatoes are cheap, this dish helps stretch the budget. You can live off this for weeks. I have.

    Recipe #10584

My family loves it as a non-meat meal, but you could also use it as a side dish. The vegetables used are really just whatever you like all thrown together.

    Recipe #39390

i had a hankering for mom's thanksgiving sweet potatoes, but wanted to make something simple and quick just for me. this is what i dreamed up.
