I'll admit it — I'm a HUGE fan of Kraft Dinner!! I'm sure I could eat it almost every day without ever getting tired of it. Two more reasons to love it is the cost and its amazing versatility. I hope this collection keeps getting bigger!!
Sounds weird but it tastes really good! When I was a kid my aunt used to make this for me, apparently it was popular with her and her dorm friends. I still eat this today and thought I should post it on Zaar so everyone can try it!
In Canada we call Kraft Macaroni and Cheese 'Kraft Dinner' (KD). I believe we are the per capita top consumers of this stuff. With two growing boys at home we are making a lot of this again - they love it. Here's how I eat mine. Not a fancy recipe but makes eating with the kids tastier.
This is a quick meal I make sometimes after work, when it's just me. Nothing fancy or gormet, just plain comfort food. I sometimes stir in a handful of grated cheddar or italian blend cheese at the end to give it a little extra cheesiness!
Looking for something new and different? Tired of the same old thing? Try this quick and easy stove top one dish meal that uses top quality pantry items and staples and cooks in one pot! Less dishes, less time, equals a happy MAMA! This is also great with some cooked ham rather than chicken! NOTE: Instead of the box mix you can use my homemade recipe for mac and cheese recipe #135662 Also, when using a lot of pantry items you can UP the taste and freshness level by adding some fresh ingredients like fresh parsley or other herbs, fresh cheese or even sneak in some fresh veggies like a little diced/minced celery, bell pepper, garlic or onion. Some green veggies like peas or broccoli would be a great addition here too! Consider this recipe as a spark to light your creativity!
Mom's recipe. I enjoyed it as a kid, still enjoying as an even bigger kid! I got my friend and her family hooked too!
*The kind of Macaroni and Cheese Dinner to be used here is the one in the short fat box with the foil envelope containing the squishy cheese.
Made from boxed macaroni&cheese dinner. The cheese/macaroni mixture gives this a unique twist to typical macaroni salad. I've never made it from homemade cheese & macaroni, but I imagine it would work fine. Sometimes I use leftover macaroni & cheese dinner and adjust the rest of the ingredients accordingly. This is one of our quick and easy family favorites. Enjoy!!
This is another recipe from an old 99 cent, coverless cookbook which is over 30yrs old.
It is from a time when every penny was needed, and a little had to go a long, long way. Oh, and BTW, my kids scarffed it down!
