I haven't purchased tartar sauce in many years. We do not like any hint of sweetness, preferring the combination of dill pickle, lemon, onion and Worcestershire to flavor the sauce. This will keep a long time in the refrigerator.
Note to World Tour participants - this recipe is included in the British category. Similar sauce recipes (making the mayonnaise from scratch, of course) go back to Medieval times, and have been found in British books as early as 1685. It's also wonderful served with fish and chips, if you aren't very fond of malt vinegar.
This is my first recipe - please be kind! My kids love it and when I take it to a BBQ everyone wants the recipe. It is a variation on one I found in epicurious a while ago. It is very easy and very yummy!!
This is the most delicious salad - fresh and wonderful-tasting. FYI, lettuce can very much be a part of any greek salad - if you want it to. We like lettuce in my family and I often add it. It would not be 'authentic' in a Horiatiki (village) salad, but who cares?
Great snack for everyone, or the for kids lunches or even as an after school treat! Serve for breakfast with yogurt and fruit or over ice cream for dessert. Watch your time in the oven because sometimes it cooks a little quickly. This recipe came from Bon Appetit, March of 2002.
A few baking tips I have learned from making this recipe often: I use a jelly roll pan so the granola will have maximum exposure while cooking. Also, if you do like your granola to clump, do not stir while baking. Allow to cool in pan for about 10 minutes or so, then run a spatula between granola and the pan to loosen. You will have so many clumps you will have to break them with your hands ; )
These muffins are delicious and have a great texture, and they are 100% healthy! No refined flour or sweeteners. We have a big family, so this recipe makes a lot of muffins, but it is easily halved for a smaller group. To make the muffins lower in fat, replace half of the oil with unsweetened applesauce. I also use "white whole-wheat" flour, which is softer than that made with red wheat (but has the exact same nutritional value).
From www.TopSecretRecipes.com It's all about the sauce with this one. This sweet, tangy and slightly spicy sauce goes perfectly with salmon, but can also be used on chicken or ribs. Just be sure to watch the sauce closely as it cooks in case it starts to bubble over. It's gonna get thicker as it cools, so be sure not to overcook it. If it becomes too thick, just add a bit of water to thin it out.
I mix this together, cover it and refrigerate overnight, then bake it in the morning. Every time I serve this, when I have guests, they always ask for the recipe. Feel free to add whatever you would add to your regular oatmeal. I sometimes add nuts, raisins or blueberries. Add what you like and I hope you enjoy it!
Delicious chicken dish for a nice, simple, light meal.
Note:This is one of the recipes I adopted in the Great 'Zaar Orphan Adoption of 2005. I hope you enjoy it.
Note: If desired, you can substitute approximately 12-16 chicken breast tenders (tenderloins) in lieu of the whole chicken breasts.
This is one of the recipes I am known for. Super moist and super yummy. I have tried many over the years and always come back to this. I often give it as a gift around the holidays. Just may be the last banana bread recipe you ever try! Can also make 3 mini-loaves
I made this recipe after falling in love with Coldstone and Carvel's Cake Batter Ice Cream.
I recommend using Splenda instead of sugar since there is sugar in the cake mix.
You can use 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract if you please. You can also use 3/4 cup of cake mix.
THIS RECIPE IS TO USE WITH AN ICE CREAM MAKER (MINE IS BY CUISINART)
I got these from a co worker and she told me they tasted like Girl Scout Cookies so I tryed them. I am do have to say they taste as close to the Girl Scout cookies as you can get. Prep times includes the chilling.
