This is very inexpensive compared to all the whiteners on the market. And is not the same as those gels on the market this has only 2 ingredients which you know and are at hand in every home. It gets your teeth & gums nice and clean. I do it once every couple weeks. A great way to remove wine, tea, coffee, & tarter stains. If you don't like the taste add a a drop of mint extract. It's is SAFE for your use and has been used for a long time. You can check this article at http://www.dentalgentlecare.com/whitening_safety.htm
A recent report suggested a "possible" link between tooth whitening and oral cancer. It was based on two (only 2)case reports of patients who contracted oral cancer with none of the known risk factors. There are no new studies cited. We call this to your attention because the report got substantial media play. Interestingly, the report itself states that carbamide peroxide and hydrogen peroxide-chemicals generated in the whitening process-AREN'T CARCINOGENS IN THE MOUTH.

This is no more cancerous then the fat, grilled food and processed foods people put in their bodies filled with ingredients your can't read.
If you go into your cabinet and read the hydrogen peroxide bottle it states to use as an gargle and mouth rinse.
A friend and I have recently become addicted to coffee with flavoured creamers (mmm... International Delight...), and then... I ran out - and so did the local store! So I hunted down recipes online until I found this one - it's sweet and creamy and (most importantly - to me, at least) not a powder!!! It's from thriftyfun.com.
Did you ever pass by the special coffee creamers at the grocery store, wondering how they make those flavored creamers and wanting to avoid those nasty calories? Easy, grab your run of the mill powdered coffee creamer and come along for the ride!
This is my little hummingbird friend's favorite nectar. I know some people don't add the coloring, but my little hummer refuses to drink unless it is red. If you have a less picky humminbird then you don't need to bother with the coloring. I have heard conflicting informations from "experts" regarding the use of food color. If your hummingbird doesn't object...leave it out...mine does object and hasn't had problems so I use it. Luckily I live in Florida and can enjoy seeing hummingbirds all year long! :o)
Once you have made homemade candied orange OR lemon peel, you will never go back to using commercially produced peel again! This is such an easy recipe & yields enough freshly candied peel to accommodate most of my recipes using peel for quite a few months. You just need to be organised and have an airy & dry room available for the drying process. This peel enhances any recipe calling for peel, and actually TASTES like oranges! I often keep the peel from fresh oranges in a container, in the fridge for up to 3-4 days, until I have enough to handy to make a batch.
You can use this recipe for chicken or turkey stock for soup or gravy. I like the extra wing added to my stock. But it's not necessary.Cook time between 1 1/2 -2 hours. If cooked down less then 3 cups add water.I like to leave the skin on the onion it gives it a darker richer color.
My wonderful Auntie Karen(Chef Yogi) has been so generous and kind to me. She sent me over half a dozen awesome essential oils which is something I have been wanting for so many months!! She sent me this wonderful easy recipe that was listed on www.make-stuff.com I have just finished making this and using it in my horribly dirty sink and now, I have the most clean and glowing sink I have ever seen in my kitchen! Nobody would believe I haven't used even a little Vim or Jif tonight to clean my sink if they saw it. Something so easy as this, and using just 4 ingredients is a true winner and a sure keeper in my book. Hope this will make you as happy as it made me! I am going to use this as long as these oils last!;) In my opinion, this would make a nice gift to give a would-be bride or your best friend for that matter or your neighbour or mom or MIL. Whoever you gift this to, is going to love you for it! ENJOY!
I'm posting this because my mom found a recipe for enchiladas on this site and could not find adobo seasoning in the market. She found a jar of adobo similar to mole but it would have turned her enchiladas verdes into enchiladas negros. This is a seasoning mix I found on the web from The Daisy Cooks show on PBS.
WOW! No streaks, no smears, no buffing. This will clean ceramic tile counter tops, windows and their vinyl casings, SS appliances, sealed wood AND it removes hairspray from mirrors. So far that's all I've tried it on, as I came up with this recipe just this morning. I've been a cleaning fool today, experimenting on everything. I love it...Let me know what you think.
