    Hello Cooks!

Wow I can't believe I found this site! I already found a new crockpot recipe to make with the thighs I needed a recipe for and this is just an all-around great site for anyone who cooks. I am thrilled to be a new member and will try to check out the post in all the other areas.

I would love to help in any way I can.

    Hi Ladies!

Thanks for all the warm welcomes. Already I am a devoted fan of this site, I just wish I had enough hours in the day to surf this site. There's so much to look at, so many recipes to view. I hope to be able to add some of my own trusted recipes soon.

Hi Mermaid, what area in CA do you live in?

I live in Rocklin, which isabout 20 minutes east of Sacramento and 1.5 hrs away from Tahoe. I am originally from the Bay Area.

I read in your About Me Page that you live in Santa Barbara. Sounds gorgeous! Also, I am so jealous of your job!

    Hey Mermaid,

I realized I could see your profile, too, and find out where you lived in CA. And then I felt silly I had asked...Here in Santa Maria we have a great climate, always 70ish and after living in various suburbs of Los Angeles where it gets in the 100's, I am spoiled.
If you like the sound of my job you can go to www.ipiu.net and take a look. It is a Private Investigator Union and anyone can be a PI basically. I actually started as a Records Searcher for a subcontractor of the US Gov't. and then I thought "why not see if I can do this for other companies" and then I found the IPIU site and now I am broadening my scope. Nice of you to write...take care icon_smile.gif

    lol - don't feel silly!

Thanks for the info. I'll have to check out that site!

BTW - there have been quite a few threads in the EE forum about stay at home moms (and others) wanting to find something to do from home. Is your job completely from home? Anyway, I know people would appreciate it if you wanted to post some info about your job, that site, etc. on the EE forum. Also, more people visit that forum than the New Members Area so you will get many more welcomes!!!

    You take care too!!

Editing to add that the link didn't work for me icon_question.gif

I also just started working from home. Not as exciting stuff as you do, I'm sure. (I do human resources - data audits, reports, etc). I feel very blessed to be able to work from home and not have to pay for child care. Don't you just love working in your jammies?? I work crazy part time hours (4 am-8am) b/c it's the only time my kids are not hanging all over me!!! Also, my husband works a 4am-1pm shift so we all take a nap when he gets home! My favorite is when I am on a conference call with France and I'm in my pajamas drinking coffee! icon_razz.gif icon_razz.gif
