Nothing complicated, just to make n 8"x 8" cake then put the fondant on top, then make the Royal icing and decorate the cake as we want. Everyone can do an individual for whoever they want, adult or child type. Anyone want to participate, if everyone can manage to get about 2lbs of white fondant and some meringue powder from Wilton, or whereever, maybe a piping bag and a small shell piping tube and a no. 2 writing piping tube we can begin anytime.

I'd love to participate Ann! We don't have any type of cake decorating stores around here, but our Bulk store carries a lot of Wilton supplies. I have to go up there later to pick up some spices for another Zaar recipe, so I'm going to check to see if I can get the fondant! Keeping my fingers crossed!

OK we'll keep this going for a while for a few more people. In the American Wilton brochure they call it meringue powder but its really just pasterized egg white. Remember there were scares a few years ago with salmonella in eggs, but for many many years, people just made Royal icing with fresh egg whites. If you can get Wilton by mail order, its in there. There is a big English company called Squires Kitchen who do all this stuff here, not sure if they do mail order though

I'd like to try this out. I've always been curious about it, and I'm so unartistic I thought I'd just wind up with a mess. I'll look around at the store and see what's readily available.

I've got note of your address, then realised I forgot to put mine on, so I'll send you something as soon as I can and either put my address inside or go to the library again in a few days. Think I've got some sort of problem on my E mail, I keep getting all sorts of junk from somewhere, I can just look at the E mails, but can't open anything.

Ok, I'm game depending on the date and time. I've used buttercream icing but never fondant. Have to get the fondant and meringue powder.
