    Hi Ladies wave.gif

Thank you for inviting me Zurie. I have finally made it over to this forum. Not so sure what to do... so I will share the photos of the recipes that I made in the Aussie Swap this month... they were all excellent.

    Cookies without nuts (for dh)

This cabbage and potato dish by Paula was delicious, comforting and very satisfying

Love your lighting with the dark background gives your photos a wonderful dramatic effect.

Fantastic photo of the stem coming off the cabbage as a lot of time steam can make a photo blurry and your is nice and sharp.

Wow! Those cookies with the golden-brown edges and the black background -- that photo should be in some cookbook or food magazine. Just great! Love all the photos. You make the food look so attractive. You must spend a lot of time in the kitchen!! icon_lol.gif

It's so hot and humid here on the coast in SA now, not only does it chase away my appetite (which for understandable reasons isn't great right now), but one tends to stay away from ovens and stoves.

I am awfully bad about food these days, but I suppose it will come right again. I'm eating whatever is easiest to throw together. I get envious of the glorious food photos you've posted.

Where have you been all this time, when you should post here often??? rotfl.gifrotfl.gifrotfl.gif

Zurie, It's so cold here in Canada, that it is easy to spend time in the kitchen.

I learned to cook when I was 16 by necessity, I got married and couldn't boil water. Once I discovered how quick and easy it was to make real food, I set my course and never looked back.

My dh isn't as brave as I when it comes to trying new things, but he is coming around, we both have varied tastes so its easy to find great recipes on this site. I love it here, have been a memeber for 10 years next month.

I understand why you don't have much of an appetite my dear, may I suggest making something that you love, that always helps me. Big or small it doesn't matter, just make sure its something that will feed your soul and make you smile.

    Hugs Ger

I totally agree! I think it should be on the cover of a cookbook or food magazine. I am in awe. icon_smile.gif

Those mashed potatoes look sooooo good. I have saved them to make later in the week.

Dang. I am never going to lose 10 lbs this way. icon_confused.gif
