    Halloumi is yum-yum!!!!

BK loves it too. Maybe I could talk her into sending me some for New Years!

I'd really like to try it.

I tried it. I was REALLY excited. But I didn't like it at all. It was so salty. icon_sad.gif

It is salty, but you eat this with other dishes and salad.
I warm countries the people need salt and salt is a good preservative for the cheese.
The only thing I find strange in Halloumi is that it squeaks a little bit under the teeth!

It squeaks when you eat it? icon_eek.gif

I have to prepare a fast dinner as I will go out soon.
Looking for recipes for the Australian Recipe Swap game I found:

Chargrilled Vegetable and Haloumi Salad #503853 By **Jubes**

    This was a speedy choice!

This is under Greek, but there is a lot of halloumi in Turkey.
If you want you can add this to the tags.

I did not have much time to choose the recipe, but this was a great choice.
I prepared a huge amount of vegetables (read review) that I got for good price a couple of days ago (3 bell peppers for about one dollar) and the halloumi mentioned a few days ago. The romana salad was form the Turkish shop as well as this kind of salad is very popular in Turkey as well as in Greece.

I started to prepare it at 18:25 (FC time 12:25), at 19:10 we were already sitting and enjoying:

I need to apologise for my total lameness in regards to this thread. icon_redface.gif

I blew in, blabbed away, posted pictures, told a story and then Nada.
Life got so busy but no busier than for anyone else, so I have no valid excuse, just a sincere offer of apologies.
