A chilly 45f/7c this morning moving up to around 70f/21c then we get 2 days of high temperatures for the remainder of the week. This is creating wardrobe schizophrenia icon_rolleyes.gif

I'm off the the city to visit with and have lunch with Mum. No golfing today.
While I am there I am going be stocking up on smoked bacon. I am going to be making that Jam tomorrow icon_smile.gif

That's all I've got. What are you up to?

Errands to run; banking, clothes donation drop off, store and need to bake the boys some cookies. That is it, I'm exhausted from 2 days of trying on clothes, sorting through and washing.

It's supposed to be a bit cooler again today, so I'm going to continue prepping the large planting bed in the front yard. There seems to be a never ending supply of rocks in the soil here, so I'll probably have another large bucket of them by the time I'm done. If Pet Rocks ever make a comeback, we'll be living in Malibu! icon_lol.gif

Fall is only four days away! icon_biggrin.gif

Have a wonderful day everyone! icon_cool.gif

Brought the car in to be inspected and then to the body shop (following a call to my insurance company) for appraisal following an accident I had Monday afternoon..... thankfully I was not damaged (once my blood pressure came back down) but the car was... icon_sad.gif . Left the car there to be repaired while we are away (DH going to Toronto Monday to see his Mom; I am off to FL to my Mom's on Tuesday).Enterprise Car Rental picked me and I am now driving a peanut sized car until Monday afternoon. Had to call my friend who WAS going to drive us to the airport Mon and Tues in OUR car (his is not in good shape) and who is our cat sitter......his wife is in the hospital in ICU! So.... I may be looking for a new cat sitter! Our car will be ready -and delivered to our parking lot) on Monday the 30th so IF he CAN, he can pick me up at the airport when I come home. DH comes home the following day. Whew! The best laid plans............................ icon_rolleyes.gif

Wow! icon_eek.gif I'm so glad you're OK, Saralaya! And I hope your cat sitter and his wife will be OK too. If all's well that ends well, then hopefully this will at least end well for all of you. icon_cool.gif

Really bad news about the car but I am so grateful that you weren't hurt.
I hope all works out with the cat sitting. What a nuisance to have so many 'things' pop up a few days before traveling. icon_sad.gif

While visiting Mum I was able to find a Raw Dog food place near her and of course much bigger grocery stores than around here so I don't have to shop tomorrow and I'm good for dog food for 2 weeks. That is particularly cool as the closest place to me is a 45 minute drive each way and I was going to have to go tomorrow. icon_cool.gif

Oh, and while at the grocery store in Burlington I got the butcher to slice me 2 lbs of smoked bacon so tonight I will make Bacon Jam icon_lol.gif

Thanks K9. The cat sitter's wife is out of ICU but will be in the hospital for awhile while they run tests, but he thinks he will be able to take care of the kitties. In the meantime I lined up a back-up sitter. I will talk to him and then give them each other's numbers so if Sitter #1's wife gets sicker he can call #2 to take over. Whew! I'm about to get offline in a minute or two.... be back Sat night!

Gave Farrah a bath with some flea shampoo and a harsh haircut. She will be annoyed with me for a day or so then come out from under the bed with an attitude sometime tomorrow...

I do it for her own good... but... right now she hates me. icon_lol.gif

Sos? Say what? To me that means "save our souls" but I don't think that is what you mean. What gives Sarasota? This reminds me of conversations with my teenage kids. They quiz me once in a while to see if I am up on the "lingo". (Usually I am not, as I don't have a cell phone so I speak and type regular English, which is becoming a lost art form. ) icon_wink.gif Sorry you have to explain yourself on the "sos"!

I ran errands. DH needed a new polo shirt for a golf tournament and I ran all over the place trying to find one. I guess this tis NOT the season to buy one. I ended up at Tip Top Tailors thinking it would cost me an arm and a leg and lo and behold, they had them cheaper than the ugliest ones at Target. Bonus....bought 3.

Not much happening today, I am boring.

mums--I googled 'sos' and I think SC probably means 'same old stuff'. Or she could be busy saving our souls. One or the other. icon_lol.gif

It's a universal maritime distress call. "Save Our Souls" or "Save Our Ship."
