It's chilly, windy and will rain. icon_sad.gif
I am almost finished rearranging my office so I will get that done. YAY - it only took 2 months! icon_redface.gif
I've got the drapes pinned and the sewing machine out so those will get finished today.
I want to drag Don out looking for a chest of drawers so I can reclaim my dresser. Our armoire wouldn't fit in the bedroom so now it is an entertainment centre and works well as that. It does however leave us short of clothes storage space.

    Oh yeah, more laundry icon_rolleyes.gif

    What are you up to?

Laundry, scrubbing floors and hoping to begin going through winter clothes. After losing 30 lbs over the past few months NOTHING fits and hoping I find some "skinny jeans" in the mix somewhere.

Yay, MaMere! On the weight loss, I mean. . . congratulations!

I'm going home - I'm dying here. Something has gone to seed, and my nose won't stop running, my eyes are watery, and I look like Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer. Even the special soft lotion-y tissues aren't cutting it anymore.

    I'm dying here.

I've got a couple of things I have to deal with, then I am OUT.

Other than that, I've got nothing.

Poor puppy - he's suffering, too. I took him off the zyrtac which seemed to resolve his diarrhea problem, but the Claritin doesn't seem to work as well. Maybe it'll just take a few days to get it into our systems.

    I am DYING here.

Well... we were already out for breakfast after Marty attended morning synagogue services (which start at 7AM) and after I feed the cats and make a lunch to leave for Marty I am headed out to lunch with a girlfriend and then across the Hudson to Rockland County. There is a very large Jewish population there and many many very observant Jews and there are THREE Kosher supermarkets......an entire big supermarket and everything is kosher! Plus, it's right on the NJ border so I can fill the car up with CHEAP NJ gasoline (30 - 50 cents LESS than in NY!) One of the kosher markets is brand new and is just fabulous! I am also stopping at Rockland Bakery, which is a wholesale bakery and sells the most wonderful fresh breads at wholesale prices if you wander around with gloves on and pick your own items in the back where all the freshly baked items come out! Yummmmmm.

YAY! To the weight losers! Count me in there too...my New jeans ( a smaller size than what's in the drawer) are getting loose in the waist....I join you all in the not much still fits & that includes the bras.

Off today & trapped in the house as they are oiling & graveling the street...no traffic on it till 6:30pm...so I'll spend a lazy day, puttering, ignoring the mountain of house paperwork that needs to be gone thru, a load of laundry & I am making a batch of cranberry, walnut tapioca.

It's cloudy, coolish & damp after last nights rain...a GREAT Couch day!

Congrats to the weight loss gang. I need to loose 20. Breaking my foot; then, knee, and now my foot it acting up because I have been favoring my knee. Just a wrap; and keep going; probably why it isn't healing.

Well, back on the treadmill 3x a week until the foot feels a bit better. And trying to eat a bit healthier.

Today, breakfast w/gf, actually a catering client. I am doing her wedding the beginning of OCT, so we went over that. Been busy working on a menu. I was good and had their oatmeal with a fruit compote (natural organic place, so the food was amazing)

My yard work got stopped yesterday, but a nasty storm; had to do some branch clean up this am. But, lots more planting to do today. Had a brief, FL 2 minute shower. Now, it's drying, before the afternoon shower.

So, yardwork, bills, laundry, cooking for 2 of the ladies (Florentine chicken stew), wheat bread, in the ABM; and a citrus salad. Stew is also cooking as we speak.

Then, Happy Hour w/gf at a new restaurant. We know one of the owners, he was a caterer too. Probably just get some appies and check things out.

Congratulations to everyone who has lost weight! icon_cool.gif

DH and I have each lost a little weight this year because we changed our diet (but we didn't change our diet to loose weight, and didn't really need to loose any). We both have a hard time finding clothes that fit, but especially me. I'm short (5' 1 1/2" tall) and slender, and even the smallest petite sizes are usually too big. It was so frustrating, that several years ago I pared my wardrobe down to the fewest items possible. So now I only shop for clothes when something wears out, which isn't often. Best thing I've ever done!

Monday is trash day, and one can has already been emptied...two more to go. And I need to do a load of laundry. And see what I can to on my studio/study...

    Have a wonderful day! icon_biggrin.gif

Lastnight I made a roasted chicken so today I threw the carcass in the pot and made Cock-a-Leekie (Chicken and Leek Soup). Then I made granola and some flax seed crackers. That took up my morning.

This afternoon I took my car to Canadian Tire to get a flat tire fixed as I ran over a nail, oh and they also changed the oil. They told me it would take 45 minutes so I wandered around aimlessly and then plunked in a chair. An hour and a half later, it was done and I was outta there. Why do they tell you way less time than it takes? I'd be happier if they told me a longer time as then I would think they were wonderful for getting it done quicker.

Then I ran into the the grocery store and bought some lovely whole wheat submarine rolls to put in the kiddie's lunches.

Therapy was this morning and it was NOT pretty...not by a long shot!

Congrats to those losing weight! Not sure what the scale is saying on this end but today was a whole lot colder than it's been in months and months, and I had trouble keeping my pants up. That must be a good sign, right? LOL

Other than that, the usual around here - dishes, laundry and more cooking that results in more dishes and more laundry. No wonder I am tired and wanting a nap!

That's always been my policy - I always tell people I need AT LEAST a week to get them stuff, then, if someone screws up and doesn't call me until the last minute, I am a miracle worker. icon_biggrin.gif

Also, this is the second time I've seen a reference to cock-a-leekie soup in the past few days - I guess, what with a bag full of leeks in the fridge, I'm going to have to give it some thought soon, huh?
