The House. It's not dirty, it's just messy and I I need to unmess it.

I have a load of veggies from the garden that I harvested this morning so I will fiddle with a recipe in the making.

We were up at 4 this morning so a nap will be in order later-perfect weather for it as it will be in the mid 60's today.

    Trim Darcy's nails-always a good time....NOT!

What's up with you today? (PS K9 is on the road today so I decided to pitch in with this thread) icon_wink.gif

Had a leisurely morning sipping tea and reading the newspaper. I have housework to do but I'm not anxious to do it (go figure!)

The boys are headed to the university football game this afternoon and I may make some cookies while they are out. Haven't made cookies in ages since they aren't part of my SB diet but this cool weather is making me want to bake.

    Have a wonderful day! icon_biggrin.gif

It's been a week of crazy soooo.....

This morning woke up and made Hubby ALmond pancakes with Blueberries, and have some Carrot Ginger soup on the stove for lunches next two days.
Putting the home back together as we got the carpets cleaned yesterday.

Later will go to a local Apple Fest play some carni-games and get an apple pie, or fritters, or elephant ears or all of the above!

    Happy Weekend to All!

Ahhhhhhh, Fall weather is upon us in true form...49 at 5am & just a slow climb to 75 by 3pm...gotta love it.
Boiled my cider down, got it canned & took stock of canning supplies, if I am to do any canning next year must stock up on jars when they go on sale.

Cleaned out the fridge, got my Italian Bread ready to go in the oven in just a bit, never got to it y'day as I ran out of steam icon_lol.gif
did some fine tuning in the house, you know move this here, change out that throw rug for this one...minor stuff but it makes me smile.
Headed for the shower as work time is creeping up on me.

    Have a great weekend Everyone.

Not sure what is on today's agenda besides a bit of relaxing. We're still have 90+ temps so working outside isn't on my list. UCLA is playing Nebraska starting now so I may just be plopped in front of the TV. icon_cool.gif

Slept in a bit this morning - about 5:30 - then had a little extra long walk with the dog (after that peach tart last night!).

Then I went on a field trip with MIL - she's (at best) resistant to change, and, after finally moving up here for good about a year ago, she JUST bought a car - last week. The problem is that (a) she doesn't know how to get anywhere, (b) she doesn't know where anything is (you'd think that'd be the same problem, but, apparently, it's not.), (c) she doesn't like driving on "highways" or "busy streets" (or, actually, streets where there might be other cars), (d) she's used to driving a manual transmission "just can't get used to" not having a clutch. Or not shifting. Then there are the myriad physical problems she's got (or is convinced she has) . . .

The plan to drive up the street (maybe 5 miles - MAYBE) to Walmart, and maybe Big Lots which, it turns out, she LOVES. Well, we made it to Big Lots, spent TWO HOURS, then she was so tired she had to skip Walmart.

SO I've got corn stock in the canner, and when that's done, I have some errands of my own to run (on the other side of town, which involve -gasp- an ACTUAL highway), then that's it, I'm done. After I make the stew for dinner, anyway.

High 80's or low 90's here. NO Fall here.

Got 2 new Fall wreaths to put up. Been outside for about 3 hours planting my garden. Tomatoes, peppers, cabbage, and some new herbs. Lettuce will have to wait a couple more weeks. Started my potatoes as well.
Have 15 hanging baskets to plant, weeding and racking, but not all today. I got other stuff to do too. I can finish up tomorrow.
Back out for another couple of hours of work.

I need to wash and wax the car too, and wash the interior and vacuum. It may have to wait till next week.

Making sugar water concoction for my humming bird feeder. It is simmering right now.

And just planted my sunflowers for this fall,.

No fall here's going to be hot today.

We need to do the grocery shopping. And I've already cleaned and swept the kitchen. Oh, and I got the Pro Shot Industrial Re-Newing Floor Restorer & Finish I ordered, and can hardly wait to try it out. If it renews/restores the ancient floors in this house, it really will be amazing! Fingers crossed...

But mostly, we're just going to try to stay cool.

Hope you have a great day! icon_cool.gif

Tonight we are headed to the "Supercrawl" event that is being held in the downtown core. There will be live bands set up in different locations, crafters, food, beer tents, etc. Should be fun.
