    Good Morning!

I had to shut down early last night because of a severe thunderstorm, the centre of which appeared to be directly above my house. Although Maddie is not supposed to do stairs she is terrified of storms and we thought her immediate comfort more important than the possibility of injury. The alternative would be for me to sleep on the couch with my hand draped over the side or to throw cushions on the floor to make her feel secure. The couch is short so she spent the night sleeping peacefully beside Mummy upstairs. icon_smile.gif

More storms today which will mean that I have company for every bathroom visit. icon_rolleyes.gif

We are going to an out of town family celebration tomorrow - oh yay. It's going to be 50F and there will be a family photo shoot on the beach. Today I will be getting the dogs food and gear organized for thier overnight boarding. I also need to dig out colder weather clothing for me.
It will be interesting as I have lost weight since packing them away and have no idea if I have anything appropriate to wear that will fit. I may have to go shopping which is not high on my list of things to do.

Other than that just laundry and errands.

    What are you up to?

Ended up not working last night; but, I hooked up to their server and downloaded enough work to keep me busy a good 6 hours today. So that is mostly what I will be doing.

A good friend is driving through town on his way home from being up north for 3 months w/family. He said he would pick up something. No idea.
But, I am making a pot of vegetable soup, adding a bit of chicken and ditalini pasta; and a loaf of bread for him to take home. That way, he will have something to eat tomorrow.

So, that is it for me today.

I have the most boring life, don't I.

Get up, walk the dog, come home, eat breakfast, go to work, come home, have dinner, go to bed, lather, rinse, repeat. icon_rolleyes.gif

This evening, though, I think I'm going to bake a few tarts - gotta catch the peaches before it's too late.

And what EVER will I do with 6 peach tarts with shortbread pastry crusts? icon_rolleyes.gif

I'm meeting a girlfriend for lunch and (free) mini facials at a local mall. We plan to have salads for lunch and then a trip to the Godiva store for dessert! icon_cool.gif

Thursday is laundry day, and the first load is in the washer. And I need to do a bit of other housekeeping.

The weather is going to be pretty nice, which is always a plus on laundry day.

Have a beautiful day everybody! icon_cool.gif

I'd be HAPPY to share! icon_smile.gif Goodness knows the LAST thing I need in the house is pies. icon_rolleyes.gif

Adding that, while everyone else was at lunch, I got one heel turned on my DH's super-secret birthday socks which I only work at here at the office - where he's not! icon_biggrin.gif

A little work, a little housekeeping, a trip to the bank and the post office. This evening I hope to get outside to work in the front flower bed. If it is cool enough to prep the flower bed, tomorrow I will order the daylilies for delivery next week. Fingers crossed that it will stay cool enough to plant them. icon_cool.gif

Hey, So Cal Gal has returned from the 'out of body experience' icon_cool.gif

I am about to run out the door as I am taking Mom and her dog to the vet.
Not to be gross, but Mom thinks the dog pooped out a tape worm yesterday. (Ewwww, I know!) So we are taking him in for tests. He's just the cutest little thing, I hope he is ok.

Played chauffeur for my daughter and her friends who were in a field hockey tournament today. They no sooner finished and got to the car when the rain started coming down.

I am working, and then having a cocktail with the girl my son says he is going to marry. She is Jewish, he is not, but he may convert, as her parents refuse to meet him because he is Christian. I just hope that it all turns out with no broken hearts.
