I don't think any of us will ever forget--especially those of us here in the US, and especially those who live in the NYC area.
I was watching the Today show, and Matt was doing an interview that I wasn't really interested in, so I used those few minutes to empty my dishwasher. I wanted another cup of coffee before I launched into house stuff and errands, so I went back into the family room to see what was up. Matt cut the interview short when he was getting "feeds" into his ear about a plane crash. We all know the rest of the story.

All the flags here are flying at half-staff.

I was sleeping since I work the evening shift. My son called and just said, "Turn on channel 4."

I met my husband shortly after 9-11. We both feel the raw emotion of that event (we live in the suburbs of NYC) opened us up to allow love to enter our hearts as we were both older adults and not really open to new relationships because of the hurts from our pasts.

I hope we live to see the completion of the memorial. We went to ground zero on the 1 year anniversary. We were allowed in with our postal IDs since the post office also crumbled to the ground. We couldn't go all the way in where the families were, but we were with the first responders (fire and police). I'll never forget.

I'm kind of sorry that we don't see all the American flags flying as we did in the wake of 9-11. Remember? They were everywhere. I fly mine everyday except during hurricanes.
