    Planted fall/winter seeds

    Mon Sep 02, 2013 9:41 am Groupie
All the seeds I planted for my fall and winter garden have sprouted and are going great guns (still in the 90s here). Some are a gamble. So, right now there are two types of kale, spinach, lettuce, daikon radish, romanesco broccoli, radicchio, scarlet runner beans, zucchini, crookneck squash (squashes and beans are the gambles). I have carrots and beets to plant, too, but need to take something else out (chiles or tomatoes) before I can fit them in.
Anyone else have a winter garden?

Winter here means no gardening. I did plant some lettuce and arugula in a large tub - I will get some before we are likely to have a killing frost, and with it in the tub, I can drag it into the garage and keep it going a bit longer.
