    Anchovies?

I can't stand them out of a tin. I hate the tin. I hate the oil. I hate the smell.

However, I use anchovy paste in a tube for some salad dressings or when I need fish sauce and don't have any.

I cannot say I love them, but I've been known to eat anchovy pizza when faced with puppy-dog pleading brown eyes across the table from me icon_biggrin.gif , and also I like it in Greek salads. But I love anchovy paste as being a practical alternative - I don't use it enough to ever use up one of the jars or tins.

I love anchovies! Eat them the most in Greek salad ~ when the weather cools a bit, you might try Sauteed Chicken With Tomatoes (with anchovies). It was quite good!

I've bought them in the tins and frozen what I haven't needed immediately but I now buy the paste in the tube. I use it for Caesar Salad dressing.
I don't mind them on a pizza but can easily pass too.

I buy the paste as well, but don't use it that often - I find them really salty

I've only used them for cooking. I have watched enough Rachel Ray to know that they are "nutty". She hooked me one particular time, and that was it. I have bought the whole ones in a jar, and also the paste. Thanks for the reminder on these little gems. I will have to make something with these this coming week. icon_biggrin.gif
