I've finally made (and greatly enjoyed)

    Deb's Apricot-Fig Bread #463456

I'm sorry that it took so long but I had almost given up on finding no sugar added apricot jam. It used to be easy to get but my usual stores seem to have quit carrying it. I stopped at the big Co-Op in the city just because DH wanted to go to the barber downstairs and they had the jam!

I will have to check it out in more depth next time I'm in town.

Oh Annacia I feel so bad that you had to go to such trouble just to try my recipe icon_redface.gif Thank you so very much for the great and for hunting the necessary ingredients to try it. icon_biggrin.gif icon_biggrin.gif icon_biggrin.gif

No need to be sorry hon.

I don't usually have a problem getting it but I use jam so seldom that I don't always keep it in stock. I was just really surprised, and disappointed, when it wasn't in any of my usual shopping places.

Everyone was offering a choice of strawberry or mixed berry. That was it! I got the big jar though so I can make this again around Christmas. icon_biggrin.gif

At one point I seriously considered just adding chopped dried apricots and figs to the batter!

Glad I decided against that but I think it might have worked pretty well. icon_lol.gif

Your more of a baker than I am you should play around with some dried apricots and figs to see what you can come up with icon_wink.gif
