I must have salted my wonton soup twice and need to cut the salt. Already cut up two potatos and let soup simmer about 45 mins...no luck. Any other tricks?

What did they tell you? And did it work?

There WERE answers within minutes. The only way to handle it is dilution, you can't remove salt in solution unless you have a desalination plant. Potatoes do not work.

So sorry that I did not get back here to respond. Yes, I had posted in two forums as I was in need of an answer ASAP. Also, the potato did not work and neither did the sugar and vinegar solution. As already mentioned, dilution is the only remedy....but of course, that leads to another. I guess the real answer is "watch what you are doing!"

I tried the potato once when I had something salty and, of course, it didn't work.
