Marshall Field's bakery used to have the best chocolate fudge cake. Does anyone have that recipe? It was a staple at every dinner party I ever had when I lived in Evanston Illinois.

No, that is not it. The cake I am thinking of was devils food layer cake with frosting like chocolate fudge. Marshall fields bakery was. Big operation in the 1980's and 1990's before the store was purchased by Macy's. You would think we could find someone who used to work there! Another chicago recipe I am looking for is Fanny's spaghetti meat sauce from her restaurant in Evanston. Used to be for sale in frozen food section of the Jewel.

I was just asking the same question. The fudge cake was
the best. I am going to try to find someone who worked
at the store and maybe still works for Macy's in their
    bakery.
