    I used to have a Peach Cobbler recipe I loved; it was delicious and SO easy, but I lost it. I remember that you would put a tablet (8 tbsp) of butter in a oven-proof dish and put it in a 350 F oven to melt. Meanwhile you mixed self-rising four, sugar and milk--I cannot recall how much. Pour this batter over the hot butter, then carefully spread a can (large, I believe) of drained peaches over the batter. Bake it and it would come out absolutely delicious. Anyone knows the correct amounts of flour, milk and sugar? HELP!!! icon_question.gif

    Unfortunately neither is the correct recipe. I tried the one with the canned peaches, using the syrup too, and it came out as a messy, gooey, strange concoction... I don't want to sound rude, but it did not work. I'll try without the syrup and see what happens. The only thing I know is that everyone who ever tried loved it and asked for the recipe. The dough bakes nicely and it even crisps a little bit on the top. Thank you so much for trying to help, though! icon_smile.gif

    If you find it, submit a review of it, you'll be able to find it easily later. Or, put it into your cookbook. Or, if it's a recipe not in the database, you can submit it so you don't lose track of it.
    I think not draining the syrup of your canned peaches may have been the problem, that would add way too much liquid. All the cobbler recipes I've seen call for draining it.

    Zeldaz! I think it is one of the two: either the one from the ELA Family Farms or! I recall there was no boiling of peaches involved, but the mixing of the sliced peaches with sugar definitely rang a bell! I will try the two recipes and see which is the correct one--they are very similar. Thank you so much for your help!
