I need the biggest crock pot in the market with a timer and temperature controller, I need to fit 3 to 5 pork shoulders (1.7-2.5 kilos each) inside and cook em all at once, is this even possible, advises?

I know there are some 8-9 qt crockpots around, but they won't hold that much meat. For a crockpot to work efficiently, it should not be more than 2/3 to 3/4 full.

If you don't want to do this in your oven, then perhaps an electric roaster might work better for you - they have a much larger capacity.

I believe you can get up to a 20 lb turkey in them - not sure, read reviews for comments of users.

    Welcome Mrpig

I have a Boston butt in the freezer that's about the size of the shoulders you are talking about. I'll likely smoke it, but I could crock-pot it. To do that, I'll need a 6 qt crockpot which I have. An 8 lb roast is 4 quarts in volume, but its shape will take a 6 qt crock to accomodate it.

Roaster go up to 22 qt, which may hold 3 shoulders - depending on shape but I doubt they will take 4 shoulders. So, whether you use crockpots or roasters, it seems to me that multiple units will be needed.
